What a bore, lately I always agree with 47:-). I also think that massage the history seems to be the only track worthy of the best Sonic, the rest feels like a lot of routine and craft.

But is the low reef a cross between a beef steak and a guitar riff?

Beautiful page as usual Grant, and I agree with you. A friend of mine will drag me to see them on July 18th. I hope I won’t come out too depressed...

I would say your best page, since you've been with us. I prefer The Downward Spiral.

Gabri, since I’m moooore meticulous than you, the sources cited by Bocca are: Antonio Tarsia, La verità sulle quattro giornate di Napoli, tip. Genovese, Napoli, 1950; Corrado Barbagallo, Napoli contro il terrore nazista, Marone, Napoli, 1954; Le quattro giornate. Scritti e testimonianze, Marotta, Napoli, 1963. I haven't read a single one of them. Those cited by Wikipedia are not reliable sources. As far as I know, there were also the dead from Nola in Poggioreale, and they were more numerous than those from Naples. It’s quite interesting to note how, for example, the outrageous lies about the number of massacres in the foibe have been debunked by those who took the trouble to cross-reference with the registry office, those who were at war, and the deportees. This work is probably simpler in Venezia-Giulia than in Naples.

I love this album, and for my fragile mind, it's a masterpiece.

Without any controversy, but I trust Bocca more than Wikipedia, which, by the way, doesn't provide sources. The number reported by Bocca refers only to citizens, precisely because the insurrection in Naples was essentially a popular uprising. My only intention was to put things back in their context; whenever I hear random numbers, I always feel a bit uneasy. Then it ends up that a Gasparri goes on TV and says that millions of people died in the foibe, and no one counters that, while the most accurate historiographical investigations give a figure of under five hundred. This doesn't diminish the significance of what happened; it simply places the facts in the right proportions.

Exactly, one, it's enough to understand each other, two, history is also made of numbers. In the four days of Naples, there were 66 civilian deaths, not thousands (cfr. Storia dell'Italia Partigiana, Giorgio Bocca, ed Laterza, iv ed. 1977, pag. 64)

A record that has two or three extraordinary tracks, but then it doesn't maintain the same level throughout. The funniest thing is that I used the expression "girare balordo le piole," which I learned here from Radio Canta Elena while writing late last night, and today I see the record reviewed in hp. Truly absurd coincidence. A 7 that I round down to 4.

What a beautiful page, Don, it's always a real pleasure to read you. I’m reminded of supercassettina with this on one side and Let it be on the other. I wonder where the hell it’s gone.
