Silence applies to you too, happypippo. What a comment from Scaruffi. Come on, drop the act. Now here comes someone to explain "The end" to me. Thanks. Really. It's always nice to learn something. Come on, go to the bar and talk about figa, that's better.

Beautiful question, but above all, difficult. Then I, after my post, should just keep quiet. I'll try to be quick and concise. Certainly, the Doors have much less historical value compared to others (Velvet above all). At the same time, I believe they possess such uniqueness, which is part of their power and strength, that it makes me think the opposite as well. Just to illustrate: thousands of bands have imitated the Velvet sound or have done covers of their songs. Doing a cover of "The End" (aside from Nico) seems like an almost impossible task, without falling into ridicule. So the concept of "historical" must be relativized and perhaps becomes irrelevant.

How can one be "satisfied" with an album that emanates, from the cover and from every groove, the smell of death? This is the 6th here. In my lifetime, I've probably read over a hundred articles on "Closer." Where should I place you? 73rd or 84th? The term "ok" in a review of the Division irritates me to no end. New Order never made disco music, please, maybe electronic dance. "Of that which one cannot speak, one must remain silent" L. Wittgenstein.

However, I don't expect that juve feeling from you. Poor Hodgson, he didn't have Agricola. And selling Zidane, everyone can do that if you then move the money elsewhere, where it costs less...

I don’t know if it’s recklessness or blessed youth. However, humility could sometimes help. Or perhaps Wittgenstein: "Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent."
X See How We Are

Sorry, but I really hear very little beach punk on this record. "See how we are" is the culmination of a certain '70s traditionalism that began with "Under a big..." and will continue in the following albums. In fact, there’s no more Billy Zoom, the rockabilly and sixties soul on guitar. Moreover, there’s never any noise with the X, at most just some distorted guitar. Also, why has Doe become Doele? Sorry, but it's an insufficient reception.

Nice review and nice album, but, as you say, it doesn't hold up to the predecessor. So, 4.

A'black, it will be the euphoria for Chivu... no, it’s a little game I play sometimes, a first 5 of irony, if I return to comment on the harsh reality. Stupefied yes, but not completely.

Ah well, I'm quite convinced too that sgualdrina/dreamer was great, especially for its time. However, these peaks for Supertramp have always made me smile because I'm Aristotelian, and they're not much better than Zero (and they’ve never written a song like the triangle).
