P.S.: Sorry, I didn't see the point. The period is the second one.

Dear Happy, I would ask you to consult an Italian teacher. Just in the first period: ex help from Leone ON "Il buono etc." ANECDOTES. FILMS. I avoid giving you any grades. I hope your elementary school teacher doesn't get a chance to read your reviews.

He, he, he! That annoying asshole Azzo is coming too. Both Oleinar and Tricky have said what needed to be said.

Eh, I’m not sure I can get through a whole album by Consoli. Even though my music collection is quite vast, I don’t have any of her songs. I liked some of her older tracks; her recent ones are really dull, and I’ve even seen her live—she talks too much. Of course, it needs to be put into context, as you say. That's why I was asking you.

I find the socio-Catanese analysis of mien mo man very interesting. But are you Sicilian? I am a deep Northerner and I vacationed in Sicily, but not in Catania. I must confess that the consoli has always intrigued me, even though it's very inconsistent. I absolutely can't stand Battiato (by the way, if you happen to come across it, there's a video on YouTube of Bollani imitating Battiato and exposing the emptiness of this false intellectual). So, to get back to it, are you from Catania or thereabouts? You surely know more than I do...

As an old Clashologist, I must inform you that you are stating inaccuracies. The first album reached number 12 in the UK and in the USA it was one of the best-selling import albums in history, 100,000 copies, so much so that CBS later released it with the famous U.S. version different from the English one. The second even reached number 2 in England, paradoxically doing better than London Calling. All of this happened before 1980. They lived in a commune by "political" choice, as Sonic Youth did later, certainly not due to a lack of fame and money.

Without starting any controversy: no one is calling you a simpleton. I just think there is a scale of values. Hence, as mentioned, perhaps the worst Tom Waits album deserves a 3, not the Asia(s). So, returning to Oleinar, if I’m told that last time the Asia album was nice, this one is decent, then it will come out that they also made a good one (the first, I believe). Thus, the evaluation on the review implies a judgment not only on the text but also on the rating. If I see someone giving a 3 to the first Zeppelin, just to say, I can’t help but give a 1, because, in my humble opinion, we are in delusion territory. Twice I avoided giving ratings to these reviews, then I regret it, on the third time I can’t resist. Because, I reiterate, someone might think of spending their money or wasting time. No, it’s better to pour yourself a nice glass of red or buy a random Clash or Wire record, from their early days. Or a bad Tom Waits album.
