Mario Monicelli La Grande Guerra
Voto:
Here's one of those immense films that airs once a year at 3 a.m. This is a great Monicelli, capable of bringing together hearty laughs and bitter reflections for a stark and realistic portrayal of the Great War and our country. The final scene, which highlights Gassman and Sordi, is one of the most intense I've ever seen. This 5 is so full that it's about to explode.

Larrok bursts through an open door. KG has brought a team of cement-handed players reminiscent of the late '90s to mid-'00s TWolves to the playoffs well above 600%/650% for 10 years practically by himself. He's a son of a good woman on the court and he fits in great in Boston; it's a shame that his knees got eaten away in Minnesota. If he had arrived at a top team 5 years earlier, who could have stopped someone with that first step, physique, hands, and balls?! An immense talent definitely underestimated.

Yet, just by looking at the modest, neutral, and intriguing poster, I am sure I have already heard this film on CD at least ten times in my metal-heavy listening sessions.
Krokus Metal Rendez-vous

What a cheesy cover!! I love it, and it has the merit of perfectly reflecting the sound of this band that not many know. I agree with you oh esteemed reviewer: the Swiss have given birth to a nice bunch of badass and talented bands. Krokus definitely belongs to that group.
Mike Leigh Another Year

It must be a beautiful movie, interesting and heavy. Too bad I'm susceptible to the weather; I'll note it down for those gray, cold, and short days of early November.
Foo Fighters Wasting Lights
Voto:
I've never delved into Foo Fighters, just known them from the songs I heard on MTV/radio. Hitting a kid and stealing 20 euros (just joking) allowed me to go buy this CD, intrigued by the great live performance I had enjoyed on the Dave Letterman Show. Well, I really liked this Wasting Light! If the others are like this, I’ll get them. 3.5
Jack London Martin Eden
Voto:
I just finished reading it today. I would say I agree with Bartolo: the character of Eden is deep and complex, embodying two different ways of seeing and understanding the world. I would say that an absolute superlative is in order.

a dazzling, brilliant, and surreal series...

I don't know, overly schematic and concise reviews don't really convince me much. Film muy bello.
