Poletti has proven to be a pain in the ass even with me, in my review of the South Park movie, because when I apologized for being arrogant, he kept showing off. I'm sorry, I have no prejudices, but when it comes to it, it comes to it.

Question: is it better to review an album that has never been reviewed and is terrible (the review) or to write a fantastic duplicate?

I only know a couple of pieces from this, "Amici nel tempo" and another one whose name I don’t know. Well, he's pretty good, but when compared to today's music and not music as a whole, he's a god (as the song says). Good job, Luigi, I like your style.

Marco Masini: T'innamorerai Review by: Sennar, (Friday, August 03, 2007)
Rating: * * * * *

Genesis, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple... I don't doubt they're great, no, rather, they're huge artists, but there's a small fundamental problem between me and them: the language. So after hours and hours of great CDs with fantastic foreign music, I thought that perhaps searching for songs whose meaning I could grasp wasn't an unreasonable thing to do.
So I decided to try listening to a singer that many people, including my father, speak poorly of: Masini. What pushed me to this choice was the opening theme of Shaman King, as I found the singer's voice to be really beautiful. I then decided to download a song by this little appreciated artist (it would have been too simplistic to go for De André or Baglioni, whom I already know and admire), so I looked at some titles by Masini and randomly chose "T'innamorerai." I started with an initial skepticism; he was criticized too much for me to like him, but strangely that song struck me, it was beautiful, romantic, it smelled of poetry, and even if there wasn't extraordinary music like that of Pink Floyd or great foreign bands, I liked it. It was exactly what I was looking for, so I downloaded the album.
While browsing this site to see what others, closer to music than I am, thought, I stumbled upon the review of this album, which was splendid (kudos to the author). It hadn't been appreciated; however, the comments I read were not based on Masini's artistic skills but were simple stances deriving from the commercial nature of the music world—he's a loser, I hate him, etc. I cannot impose my tastes on someone, but you can't define a poet like Masini as disgusting; it's easy to carry opinions derived from the media that tarnish his image. The truth is that Masini is great and "T'innamorerai" is a fantastic album that presents songs like "vaffanculo," a fresh breath of realism in a perfect world for other singers who make you believe that everything is easy. "T'innamorerai," the loving theme so dear to Masini, who, as a loser, has no luck, but his bad luck has made him much more sensitive than a lot of people on this site because it is a splendid song! Then there's "Cantano i ragazzi," which is indeed less beautiful than the first two and maybe I didn't quite get it, but it's still a nice song that you can listen to. Now we arrive at another song I really like, "Paura d'amare," a clear denunciation of the recklessness around, unfortunately even 15 years after this song was composed, to which I feel very close because I no longer understand the unromantic standards of love in our times.
There's "Libertà," another part that comes from being a loser, yet I appreciate it because, in the end, it's what someone thinks when they break up and try to hide their pain at not being able to be with the one they love, even if it's oppressive. Then we have "Dio non c'è," a beautiful song that poses one of life's greatest mysteries... Next is "Voglio volare," another song in which Masini shows intolerance for our "perfect" world and he insists with love! Almost as if on purpose, there follows "Anna viviamo," a poor girl who can't realize her dream of becoming famous! But rest assured, in reality, life is simple; these problems don't exist—only Masini thinks that this world is not fair. The last song is "Un piccolo Chopin," I don't know what to say in this case; it's a beautiful song!
In summary, I know I will be criticized and not appreciated for what I have written, but I ask you to critique after a careful examination of the songs in question... This is my first review, I hope I haven't strayed too far from the topic at the beginning!

a three as encouragement, fine. However, I would be careful about calling Masini a poet; it’s a title that doesn’t suit or can’t be attributed to everyone. (Anyway, it takes some courage to start listening to Italian music with Masini, congratulations.)

after this review I would be tempted to talk about the transfer market to shift to less sad things. What can I say, Masini is great...too bad he chose to be a singer.

It also seems to me that your small fundamental problem is the language, Italian though! I get that it's your first review, but just a bit of care, for heaven's sake!

1) welcome 2) it's horrible to write "this is my first review, please don’t insult me, I’m small and defenseless..." because someone will do it anyway 3) I don't like too many references to other reviews or users, but that's just taste 4) it’s fine that the rating is personal, but giving 5 to Masini maybe is a bit exaggerated; let’s remember that 4 is always a very good rating 5) Hi!

Oh yeah... "Vaffanculo" now that’s poetry... Tony Banks and Peter Gabriel are illiterates compared to that... But isn’t Shaman King a badass anime for kids? Oh yes, what a poet..

T'innamorerai was a good Italian song. I would avoid the rest, even if Masini still has an expressive voice.
