The problem with Pep isn't so much whether Shining is a good movie or not (it is, despite the flaws I've mentioned before) but the fact that Poletti spouts nonsense... another film based on King that I highly recommend is Misery!

Poletti, but it's a comedy film, do you realize that or where do you live? I mean, you can't stand the attack on the battleship? Is it your work? Come on, take yourself a little less seriously... you can't even see Fantozzi anymore otherwise... great review.

"Everything suffers from excessive pedantry, the screenplay is a jumble of situations that are somewhat forced together and certain passages come across as overly contrived and uninteresting." by Poletti..poletti but enough already..I mean I’m looking for a review of The Lord of the Rings and find this monstrous crap that also pretends to review three films that are three hours each in four lines..so..first of all, read The Lord of the Rings and then you’ll see if Jackson’s work isn’t a great masterpiece, aside from a few mistakes like the absence of Tom Bombadil and the missing ending, this is one of the greatest and most successful adaptations from book to film, the actors are good, the computer graphics are used in the best possible way (not like in that gaudy mess of the last episode of Star Wars) the story is great and that’s it..and you give it a 2..I don’t know whether to get angry or to laugh..

I'll tell you my thoughts... the other day I wake up and turn on the TV... by pure chance I switch to MTV and I see someone screaming, a video with rhetorical images like the Twin Towers going down... and then I hear the sound and I think: oh crap, are we back in the late '90s? no... the video ends... Linkin Park comes on and I say: oh no, it's them... still perfectly the same as they were... if anything, devolved in their sound... god, how messed up we are.

The first time I saw it, it really hit me! Far from Paolo's! Wow, what a crappy movie!
