So Miraggio, stay calm, because if there’s someone here with problems, it’s not me. My "justifying myself" was meant in the sense of continuing to respond and explain my thoughts on the album to those who, with a slightly presumptuous attitude, pontificate that "this is crap music, but go ahead and listen to it, you’re happy." (and forgive me if I felt a bit pricked, seeing as I'm included in this category of listeners).
Then, regarding your responses, you say that Racer X lacks compositional skills, but then you cite Beatallica as an example, who, while fun and cute, certainly don’t seem to stand out as masters of composition; finally, I unfortunately know the Lombardo and Arruga project: I think it’s a truly terrible experiment (if I want to listen to Vivaldi, I’ll listen to his works; if I want to hear how good Lombardo is, I’ll listen to Slayer, not these hybrids) like the True Symphonic Rockestra with James LaBrie... just to stay within Racer X, if I want to listen to classical music in a "modern" version, I’ll listen to the various guitar transcriptions that Gilbert himself has done of Bach or Haydn. Anyway, maybe I should have stopped at comment number 21, since the conclusion is the same: you enjoy your great music while I listen to my crap music and let’s both live peacefully. Cheers (P.S.: thanks for DeAmarmi, but this won’t change things :D)

"...the person playing guitar on this record has a decent technique..." seems like a comment that hides a bit of resentment and a touch of envy.
Then, a question: didn't I make it clear enough in the review that their proposal should be taken for what it is, namely, heavy metal that is undeniably well-played but "not very serious" (come on, just look at how they dress!); it's always been their trademark since the beginning: improbable look but skills to sell.
Still, I'm curious: if this CD is the Vanzina, what would be the deliberately excessive and, why not, absurd albums that could be Mel Brooks?
Finally, a question: why am I still here wasting time responding to you and/or justifying myself?

or, why not: A) go comment on a review of Tom Waits, Mozart, Coltrane, The Doors, Frank Zappa? B) even better!! write a review about Tom Waits, Mozart, Coltrane, The Doors, Frank Zappa? alternatively, if you really don't want to write a review, you could opt for something else, like getting a life, right? :-)
best, I'll be back tonight to see if I find any other pearls of wisdom, Miraggio (just make sure you don't vanish like your name, ok?!)

Oh, the dear, good, old, and healthy "capata nei denti," friend who resolves so many discussions :D Anyway, I honestly don't care about double standards, especially if then the argumentation skills boil down to the fateful "...you can't classify music by genres, you can always classify it into two big groups: music and shitty music.": a worn-out argument and a bit lacking in motivation, I would say... for me, this is good music, and in its genre, this is truly a good album; if for Miraggio I'm an ignorant fan, it doesn't matter: I'll live happily regardless ;-)

Driven by curiosity (...), I went to look up the lyrics of "She Wolf" and... there’s no trace of cheese! And actually, it doesn’t say "it's not my plan to be beautiful or not like a coffee machine in an office," but rather "I’m starting to feel a bit used like a coffee machine in an office": said that way, it takes on a whole new meaning, damn it! :D
Back to her, pleasant in her commercial "debut" with "Whenever, Wherever," but since "Hips Don't Lie" she has honestly started to wear on my nerves... good for her, of course: distinctive voice, great dancer... but enough already, between Loche and Wake it’s just too much! Great review, anyway.

No, I correct myself: going through my (few) comments, I found what I wrote in another one of your reviews about the VS: the album I was given is "Life Among the Ruins," which I didn’t mind at all (but who knows if I really have it on my hard drive), while the two "Marriage..." didn't excite me that much; if you say this is a work still primarily focused on hard rock like those from the early part of their career, I might look for something...

Ah, so we really have a professor in every sense, huh Miraggio? ;-)
Anyway, I don’t know the album, or rather I don’t remember it... a friend of mine gave it to me and I saved it somewhere on my hard drive, but I never listened to it carefully (or maybe it was "Noble Savage"?), the review, however, is very well done.

"...you can't classify music by genres, you always classify it into two big groups: music and crap music.": original phrase, I've heard it used very often by those who criticize out of prejudice without actually knowing what they're talking about, considering themselves to be the ultimate expert and the final custodian of absolute truth. But who knows, maybe you're just another fake having fun with little, and I'm most likely wasting my time...

Good morning! Thanks everyone, I see that we all pretty much agree on the music and the cover :D
Regarding the cover of "Godzilla": generally speaking, I’m not very fond of covers placed in the middle of an album's tracklist, but this one feels very "personal"; I see it as a somewhat atypical and playful tribute (like "Moonage Daydream" from a couple of albums back).
@Miraggio: well, usually someone who reviews music as a hobby (like me, for example) finds it normal to review the music and bands they prefer, right? If you were expecting a review from someone who isn’t a fan, try checking if the great Scaruffi has covered it; otherwise, you could do it yourself (since you clearly aren’t a fan) and let us know what you think, but you won’t do it because you dislike them and understandably avoid them, and here we come full circle... then the final rhetorical question doesn't make sense to me, so...(it would only hold up if referring to works by the same band; what does it mean to compare Racer X with Mozart/Coltrane?!? please…)

Bartleboom, remember well: Contra has brought great satisfaction to the red and black colors, not least that of scoring a goal against Inter in a fake 4-2 derby for Milan; he's one of those players who nail a match in life, but what a match! :D A record that the good Cosmin shares with Federico Giunti and none other than GIANNI COMANDINI, both on the scoresheet in another famous derby...
