See Ilmigliore? You can write a review too!

@Ilmigliore: I am moved by compassion; I don't want to further attack someone who has difficulty reading and writing... as for the others passing through MY review, I kindly ask you not to digress any further and to comment on the work and the review according to your own tastes, thank you 1000.

@Ilmigliore: you, on the other hand, should be reviewing. That’s it. Up until now, you’ve spent 948 comments on other people's reviews. But there isn’t a single review of yours. As for me, I review whatever I feel like, and if you don’t like it, I suggest you change the page and channel your personal frustrations into reviewing a nice album that you don’t consider crap. Or has the acid ruined you so irreparably, Jimi?

@Ilmigliore: it's when everyone looks to the right and you go to the left. You might need that, you know... maybe later you'll also learn how to comment on a review instead of talking about something else.

@Electricone: you're right, I wrote the review in a rush and without proofreading, I spent just 15 minutes putting it together. I had to struggle between the desire to be the first to review this album on DeBaser and my laziness.
Also, in case there might be any ambiguity in defining the musical genre, I included "Youthquake" under the New Wave label as well as pop. Although, in my humble opinion, New Wave is something more refined.

@Algol: did I say that?

If there's anyone willing to comment and vote on the review and the album (I don't care if you don't like it, give it a 1) instead of rambling on about other pointless topics, I would be quite grateful.

Um, so I was misunderstood. The story of gay emancipation involves Pete Burns not only because he sings "I want to be a toy" but especially for his behavior and his mannerisms live on stage. I'm not attributing to him any credit that would rightfully belong to someone else; he too is just a simple "prosecutor" of gay emancipation in 1980s Britain (then under Thatcher's conservative aegis). Nothing revolutionary, but also not insignificant.

To Mr. Nettdebaser (and the name reveals a lot), I respond that the record is original because it is a pop-dance album that, despite its highs and lows, features historical tracks (still in the pop genre) like "You Spin Me Round" and "Lover Come Back (to Me)," arranged in an original way (for the time) and giving life (or rather, sanctifying) the euro pop trend. Furthermore, Burns, even though he had already been seen before (as you rightly point out), revisits and references these examples, transporting them into the future with his unique style and presence. This is also a part of the history of gay emancipation. But perhaps it is better to retreat to a reassuring and authentic rock like that of Dire Straits in the end, right? Come on, because the world (especially, but not limited to, the music world) is beautiful because it is moooolto vario! Auf Wiedersehen!

A high-quality pop album that is very catchy, never clichéd.
