I will reply and explain why it needs a NOT, otherwise the sentence is understood in the opposite way... that is, the point is that I care about your opinions ;-)

Ah, just to be clear, I won't reply because I don't care about or value your opinion (or that of other users), but because it seems to me that the debate on these topics is quite sterile, and I've intervened only to clarify that I don't hold anything against you or others. A-Ri-Ciao!

@Riccardo: so let me clarify something right away, what I'm about to say is not a personal attack on you (because it seems to me that lately you take everything a bit too personally) but rather a general consideration, so please do me the favor of not getting too upset. I think no one here intends to downplay the importance of Critica (the capital C is not accidental), but it's simply being pointed out (and my alter ego cptgaio had already tried to tell you this without much success because you immediately took up arms to defend a position that no one was challenging you on) that leaning too much on the words of this or that critic, especially in times when almost anyone can proclaim themselves as such, is not entirely correct. Nobody questions Scaruffi's critical ability, but personally, I contest his attitude in A) forcibly exalting niche realities, canonizing them as seminal artists (a horrible term but necessary for us to understand) for personalities that may be extremely talented but who have been, for certain characteristics, far from influential unless for equally niche movements. Of course, this is not a general statement, but often it is the case; on a gut level, I think of "Lisa Germano" (an artist I adore and probably knew even before Scaruffi and certainly before those from Ondarock). Now, the beauty of her discography is undeniable, but what I contest about good Piero is when he calls her seminal and very influential because it doesn't seem to me that there are many female singer-songwriters (or other artists) who have picked up her lesson (if not, once again, in an extremely niche way). In fact, the female singer-songwriters that Scaruffi considers less significant, like my beloved Björk (I love both the artist and the DeBaser user ;-) ), PJ Harvey, or Tori Amos, are much more cited, and not just by mainstream musicians. In this case, the mistake isn't in exalting someone but in describing a role that objectively (for once, I also use that term) she didn't have, unless we take for granted the hypothesis that, as my friend Dr. Gonzo said some time ago, culture is not a small salon where three or four intellectuals decide who is culturally valid and who is not, obviously choosing those they know only, or almost. B) It's undeniable that Scaruffi has an anti-British bias; he only praises English productions when he is compelled to for extremely historical reasons, and for me, that is an inappropriate attitude. Now I know that you or other users who prefer purely niche listens will quote twenty thousand names influenced by the example I've provided (and it’s the same for point B) and will tell me that the three artists I cited have only influenced commercial movements (that’s the only thing you have in mind...it seems you're all accountants ;-) ), feel free to do so, but know that from this perspective it is difficult to escape a "base subjectivism," to quote you. I've said it before on other occasions; commerciality often exists where it seems absent and vice versa. One more thing, since I don't think I've ever been offensive to you or others, please avoid copying and pasting my statements (I've done it myself sometimes but always in the presence of insults) because phrases should always be read in their context; otherwise, it could really turn into chaos, and I ask you this as a personal favor. Anyway, I won’t reply, at least in this forum, to any of your responses (or anyone else's) because I have nothing else to add. Bye!

Dave is right, he didn't give a grade but only left a critical comment; there are too many untouchable artists lately on this site.. while on other sites, trashing is more than allowed... @SfasciaBabbano: it's not that simple, I've been trying to become a human case for months and I still can't do it...

Oh my God my friend, it's nice to see you again even under a different guise ;-) I read that you'll be doing reviews with the old nickname, I can't wait to read them. As for me, this is just temporary… I’ll be back in September with a brand new Avatar and more ugly and culturally irrelevant reviews on ugly and culturally irrelevant artists, at least according to the standards of many users and now even according to my own, because with all this pompousness they’ve convinced me and, above all, they are right (in true Neapolitan style ;-) ) and I’m even proud of it… but in the end, who cares, right? Talk to you soon, take care!
