Barrett fades away, but from a heart-wrenching mountain farewell, the star of Waters rises—who writes two epic pieces of psychedelia—let there be more light and set the controls; Wright sings his musical numbers—see saw—very well, Gilmour is discreet but not muted. The album is unique, seminal, and epochal, almost punk compared to what they would do later. It hasn’t aged poorly, quite the opposite. I listened to it a lot in the early '80s: an old mini-review comes to mind, I don’t know whose, from a book at a friend's house, titled rock 86.

The Venditti of the seventies, that is, the pre-great success one, closes the decade with an album, "Buona domenica," in which we begin to see here and there what will be the hallmark of Venditti in the eighties: the "cloning" of parts of songs by others. This is the case with the title track, whose intro and a good part of the verse are practically identical to "Don't stop" by Fleetwood Mac.
