Thank you ZannaB, it seemed to me that it conveyed the idea well... :D

Meurglys, it's a matter of taste, but it must be said that Liam's songs always have a Beatles-like quality (of course), though they're much more on the Lennon side compared to his brother. I find them too indebted to a certain way of writing (translated: semi-plagiarisms :) ). Regarding "Born On...", I would give it a barely passing grade precisely for this reason. I consider Force Of Nature a nice little tune, but when placed next to some previous tracks (without even mentioning the great classics, even something like "Hey Now!" is at least three notches above) and also later ones ("Part Of The Queue" I find incredibly beautiful), it fades away. De gustibus, obiously! :D

Alright, the review is magnificent. And frankly, I was expecting an album like this. I still need to listen to it, but I'll stick to what you describe so well. Artists change, and it really seems like we’ll have to come to terms with that. Once again, compliments.

Of course, Meurglys, these are just my personal opinions, so they are debatable. I never pull out numbers, but I wanted to say that if it was a critical flop, it certainly wasn't a public one. Another thing; those who were following Oasis back then will remember that when the album was released, critics were singing its praises, calling it a masterpiece (someone, and if I find the magazines from that time, I’ll even tell you who, dared to say it was even better than Morning Glory), only to backtrack shortly after and mysteriously downplay it. This is to tell you that it’s an album subject to significant changes in opinion from those who listen to it, even over time. As for Heathen, yes, it’s well-played, yes, it’s well-produced, but THE SONGS ARE LACKING. Specifically: Little By Little and Stop Crying are beautiful, Hindu Times is okay, Force Of Nature and Liam’s songs barely make the grade, but things like Hung In A Bad Place, Better Man (also by Liam), and She Is Love are frankly unlistenable. At that point, even the worst tracks from Be Here Now are better. Of course, De Gustibus.

I believe it's the most unjustly underrated and mistreated album, not only in the history of the Gallaghers but in the last 10-15 years of British music. And I'll tell you more; in my opinion, if "Definitely Maybe" didn't have "Live Forever," "Slide Away," and "Cigarettes & Alcohol," this album would surpass it. "Stand By Me," to the peace of the detractors, will be remembered even in 20 years. "Don't Go Away" is a pop gem that very few can write these days. Fortunately, at least ten million copies have done justice to this album, which has recently been reassessed by its biggest critic, Noel himself, who has reinserted "Don't Go Away" in the setlists and has recently stated, "I want the new album to sound like Be Here Now." Those who say that BHN is the worst album by Oasis are warmly invited to listen to "Heathen Chemistry."

I quote Divodark and add that I’m not thrilled by the album either.
