A Radiohead-style twist from Kid A would be amazing!
Spice Girls Greatest Hits

It will work like Take That. First, the celebratory best-of with an attached statement "no more new albums," then obviously a (horrible) new album, piles of money, another album of new material, but this one flops spectacularly, leading to a definitive breakup (any reference to the Backstreet Boys is purely coincidental). Want to bet? Aside from The Verve, why this trend of reunions of terrible bands? Obviously, money. P.S. Sure, these Spice Girls have made some awful songs, but the new single is just plain dreadful.

Hi Hardrock. Regardless of Uno, how do you see the singer-songwriter turn? Does it have a future or will they go back to the "old times," as is currently trendy in other bands? I'm curious to hear your opinion since you don't strike me as a "nostalgic"... :)

Sorry for the multiple duplicates (even though I'm not against duplicates), but this album really struck me and I wanted to share my thoughts.

Mien, don't mess with the Feeder or I'll get pissed, okay? :D Their Pictures Of You is spinning like it's a joy, on the radio, and I think it’s a bit predictable but undeniably enjoyable. The rest of the album, from what you say, I should love it. Oh, one more thing: I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one to notice the resemblance to that idiot Madden. Imagine, the first time I saw the videoclip for Pictures Of You I thought it was a side project of the Good Charlotte singer... I vote for the single without having heard the album, but I'll catch up soon. Great review. Cheers.

All the albums by Elbow are beautiful. Classy pop.

Ommadonna, maybe I was misunderstood, I didn't mean to start a Radiohead-Rem war, far from it. I just said: if "a band that sells a lot equals crap" is a rule, then it means that Radiohead are a bunch of crap (which they are not even remotely). That said, Radiohead and REM are so different that they can't be compared, but both (at least for me) have written a part of rock history. That's all, it was a discussion about mere sales data, not comparisons. And besides, I love both, so...
