I checked the sales data for Lavigne out of curiosity: the second album sold half as much as the first (8 million compared to 16), while the third stands at 4,122,000 copies. It has already dropped out of the charts, and I doubt it will improve significantly. As for the singles, only "Girlfriend" reached the top ten, the other three peaked at 24, 95, and 107! (in America). Source: Wikipedia. So the reviewer is right, she is in full decline. The problem with these "artists" is the target audience they refer to: those who listened to Lavigne in 2002 are now 5 years older, and with the awful songs she makes, she certainly isn't acquiring new fans. These plastic pop stars should disappear.
