Bad Religion How Could Hell Be Any Worse?

Well, I'll probably get a ton of backlash, but for me, NOFX are better than Bad Religion... Plus, a huge fuck you to anyone who says that punk died in '77; punk was born in '77, but its golden age was the '80s! Not dead at all... Maybe it wasn't as mainstream as before, but in the underground scene, there were top-notch bands, and I can name hundreds of them: Bad Brains, Black Flag, Discharge, Freeze, Minor Threat (the greatest of all), Gang Green, Minutemen, Misfits, SS Decontrol, Suicidal Tendencies, MDC, DRI, TSOL, but also Fugazi, Big Black, Butthole Surfers. Not to mention the Italian scene, probably the best of that period... Like every self-respecting punk, I have Flex Your Head, and I also have some Dischord, "The Year in Seven Inches," and the beautiful "This is Boston Not L.A."

Listen, I don’t feel like arguing, so I’ll try to respond politely. The radio doesn’t appeal to me because what I enjoy listening to I prefer on vinyl, CD, and MP3. Regarding the closed mindset, I wasn’t specifically referring to you but to the majority of those who listen to prog. As for Cobain, I confirm that he is sincere but also that he had a lot of success; that doesn’t justify speaking badly of him. And, I remind you that due to that success, he shot himself in the head... It’s natural that someone with great talent doesn’t have the luck or desire to become famous, and I am the first to say it because the music I listen to is ignored by everyone... You said you wouldn’t read my comments because you’re not my age, or don’t show it, but then right after you start quoting my comments about Madonna, whom I don’t consider music, and the Clash, whom I called poofters because I compare them to other bands I consider a thousand times better. Gorillaz don’t make music, and I see emo as a gimmick to exploit the poor kids who live off MTV... And with that, I’m done. Do you realize we’ve filled the poor review by Pretazzo with stupid comments? I hope he doesn’t hold it against us...

Anyway, I'm 18 years old and I might be superficial, but I really hate the radio... and I just expressed my opinion like you did... I mentioned metal because grunge takes a lot from this genre. Let me explain why Nirvana is so successful: the reason lies in the fact that Kurt, unlike many other musicians, was sincere with himself, with his music, and with his fans... and finally, I don’t have a closed mind at all; I listen to practically all musical genres, I have my preferences, but I don’t go around saying that if I don’t like something it’s crap. At least in this, I have a bit of common sense... good night to you too...

If you don't like grunge, I can assume you won't like punk or metal either, am I right? And anyway, I confirm what I said about the closed-mindedness; a friend of mine who likes prog isn't interested in listening to anything else. He knows Cobain by reputation but has never listened to a single song of his... he lives in his own world made of grass, typically hippie...

I think Cobain is the complete opposite of Mussolini, don’t you think that’s a bit of a hasty comparison? And anyway, you who listen to prog have a closed mindset towards any other genre. It’s fine to say you don’t like grunge, but saying it’s garbage doesn’t seem fair..., Kurt was one of the most sincere characters to ever exist, and it’s not fair to belittle him like that...

well, it’s not even my preferred genre, but Cobain is history, like it or not...
