but I definitely don’t agree with the idea that they are the queens of the stone age now... for me, they are simply biffy clyro. I listened to diary by sunny day real estate and honestly, they don’t say anything to me... I don’t know these madsun... I will definitely look them up. thanks

Well, s4doll, the Smashing Pumpkins are one of the bands I've been listening to for the longest time, and I assure you I know all their albums. I'm not a huge fan of theirs; I just don't appreciate them that much. However, giving a 4 to an album just because it says "Smashing Pumpkins" on the cover, regardless of any sentimental value it might have, seems to me like outright rejecting the possibility that the record might not appeal to you. That's all.

Don't worry, I don't want to be right, but only to express my personal tastes which are completely subjective. I find that Infinite Land is their most mature work, while the first one, although I like it a lot, is the one I digest the least. Maybe I appreciate the fragmentation in 1000 of each song more... that is, one of their songs is equivalent to an album by another band. As they say? The world is beautiful because it's varied!

Wait, maybe you’re confused... the cover by Manara is Vertigo of the Bliss. Infinite Land, instead, is the one with the puppet. Anyway, we have completely opposite ideas, like, really. I absolutely love those two albums... Infinite Land is one of my favorite records of all time. Anyway, I find this exchange of opinions fun.

But does Bob pay you? Damn, you have an educational function equal to that of TV at the beginning of its history :) ...I believe they have their own path...but maybe I'm speaking as someone who really appreciates all their albums. Anyway, Puzzle is not Infinite Land and I'm sorry about that because from the first to the third album they had a really strong growth. Go check out my pseudo-review on Infinite Land (which is my favorite album by the Biffys) where I also ranted about the British invasion being a drag.

Anyway, I wouldn't want to disturb important comparisons, but to me, this could be the nevermind of 2007, that is, an album that could change the tastes of a contemporary teenager, perhaps even changing their life. For multiple reasons. One of these is that there are several outstanding singles and the songs are all at a rather high level (except for the number 3, which is terrible). Then, because the album is permeated by those Nirvana-esque melodies and choruses, without being clones, that stick in your head and are hard to shake off. And because, amidst the general mediocrity, among the various pretentious types, these Biffy Clyro exude honesty from every pore. But "Vertigo of the Bliss"? Do you want to take it or should I monopolize it? :D ...by now in Debaser you have the function of an archaeologist!

fenni: it's all good, no hard feelings, actually. I appreciate much more that things are said rather than making stupid little comments. that review was a youthful mistake (not that I know how to write a proper review now) that honestly I wouldn't do again. it sucks and like an idiot I gave it 5 stars without understanding what the hell it was. I get why you find it ridiculous because I find it ridiculous too. anyway, I didn't mean to piss you off or criticize you. it's just that these things...fortieth anniversary...two thousandth day...are very Rolling Stone and therefore pretty ridiculous. I prefer it to be reviewed, maybe with differing opinions among the various reviews, unreleased material or anyway not universally known prehistory. I think maybe you were referring to something like that but, in my opinion, it's out of place. so no problem. peace!
