I lived there, between Catania and Taormina, for six years.

Of course, since Mr. Blackdog is a pirate, I believe the exact opposite of his statements. I apologize to humanity for not being a guitarist, nor a prog guitarist, nor a technician... Returning to Aprilia La Vigna, I think at least the fact that there are guitars might lead to something good in the future... For every hundred girls who love his guitars at 14, ten might listen to the Doors at 17, and five something valid but less commercially successful at 25... What is a girl who listens to Pausini at 14 going to listen to at 25, if not always Pausini?

@lariana56: I hope to have satisfied your (possible) curiosities regarding my nickname with a nice long (perhaps longer than one of my reviews) private message :)

Ah, character from "Treasure Island" by Stevenson, I know perfectly well who Benson is. I listened to his "Madre Tortura" a couple of years ago (to be honest, he sounded like Renato Zero), I can't tell if he's a terrible guitarist pretending to be a great virtuoso or a virtuoso posing as a terrible guitarist... I know about his concerts in Rome, his broadcasts on local networks, but above all I know about his megagalactic nonsense, his big hair, his guitar course, he played for some Italian prog project back in the day... I know what he represents for the Romans: an icon. But every city has its own icon. In my city, historically, there was a guy named Peppe Dallas :DDDDD

Well... if you give four stars to this CD, it will mean that for the latest (completely unheard) CD by Luca Madonia, you should give it fifteen or sixteen stars. I'm not arguing about the validity of 'MPARE POP, I'm talking about Consoli and her works. Already "Magneti" by Mario Venuti, in comparison to this CD, would deserve eight to ten stars if you’re giving four to this stuff.

Trimalchione said that the real pop is by Depeche Mode, Madonna, Robbie Williams, Elton John... Well, Todd is better than the best thing Elton John has done in his career... Indeed... And I'm ready to put my balls on the fire...

The main question (I hope Trimalchione won't hold it against me) is: why no comments on my review ("contemporary" to this one) of the wonderful album by Todd Rundgren, a review of an album that has never been reviewed by anyone before? Especially considering the fact that DeBaser is not Cioè?

Unfortunately, Carmen is crap, crap, and dog crap (presumably a Cirneco dell'Etna). A pop guitaristic and intellectual version of Catania to drink, with nothing really new to offer, just a lot to recycle (denovo, Spampinato, obviously - and of course! - Battiati-Sgalambro, Balistreri, Flor de Mal...). The city (and its music) pays homage to Athens and certain "oblique" American pop guitar styles (Pavement above all) due to the gray eminences of Catanese recording studios and music schools. Carmen embodies all the clichés of the Sicilian "who when she says no, rejoice: it means yes!", all confused and (but) happy, all "I am aware of being a Woman with a capital W" (and then she starts insulting herself and promising not to make the same mistakes again, and a minute later she goes: "Kiss me, Judas, please kiss me")... All "I am a naughty girl, and I do whatever the hell I want, because nothing worse than getting it in the ditch can happen to me, and in the end, I quite like getting it in the ditch" and still "Narcissus, mock me, tell me some nonsense, and I will pretend to believe it, scare me (even though I pretend to be scared), anoint me, smear me, enchant me, disenchant me, reenchant me, annoy me and then relax me, so FINALLY F**K ME (and then leave me, so that I can suffer for two decades, taking it out on all the other males in the globe)..."

Sorry, but did Mother Love Bone go hungry their whole life? I mean, he didn’t even live life at all, since he died very young. Others from the band—well, for example, does the name "Pearl Jam" mean anything to you? And then, if the early Clash are the early Clash, it means that the "second" ones made some money. If you had mentioned the Pogues, the Alarm, My Bloody Valentine, or Dimmu Borgir (featured on the homepage with a beautiful review), maybe. I agree with the essence of your review, but to say that the Clash were hungry their entire life...

Hey creature of Stevenson, I wasn't referring to you... sorry for the lack of precision... I was referring to the author of the review.
