I preferred them to Litfiba's "Terremoto" and "El Diablo," etc. But what happened to Bunbury, who for me back then was more of a kind of Latin mix between early Bono Vox and Michael Hutchence?

this is indeed news. thank you dj

It's nice that there are still some people around with the guts to write critiques... what I don't understand is why no know-it-all has appeared to tell Emanuele that writing critiques makes no sense, because it takes up precious bites, because this and that: what do these "critics of the critic" do? Do they only hang out on my pages?

Certo, invia pure il testo e procederò con la traduzione.

a very learned review, I forgot about it after blowback, really a piece of crap album

I don’t think I’ve ever read a review of Blackdog (no offense to Stevenson’s creature), but in the end, I believe I've said it all. Is the album Hooker’s? I wrote it; I said, “that’s always been his show.” I mentioned that Wilson would meet a bad end (at least I implied it when envisioning knowing smiles between him and Lucifer); I said Satan has an afro, I said that the blues is either anorexic or rock; I said that riffs become solos and solos become riffs, I said there are incendiary tracks, some ’68 stuff, tracks that are one hundred percent Hooker and ear-pulling tunes. I said this album is what I imagine hell to be like in a blues key (Screaming Jay Hawkins notwithstanding). A review of "Satanista" that I dedicate to Tepes, who unfortunately has been outdone in the number of published reviews by someone unworthy like me.

thank you guys. this won't be a legendary review, but it is my one hundred sixtieth. with ups and downs, I am quite satisfied with what I’ve written so far, and with the pace I’ve maintained. the next goal is to reach two hundred, even though the real objective is to surpass Tepes: not that I have any particular desire to do so, because I have nothing against the Impaler, but to be honest I would prefer that the most prolific reviewer on DeBaser was someone devoid of black metal attitudes and tastes (and reviews) et similia. For this, the metal community will have to forgive me.

One day DeBaser, like youth, and not "one day LIKE DeBaser, like youth."

Don't mind it, Ole: when I'm too talkative they say I'm off-topic; when I'm technical they say I'm boring... the truth is they just want to make me lose the desire to post. One day, like DeBaser, like youth, it will all be completely (and finally) alien to me, and I'll leave it to those youngsters the task of writing reviews and trying to be cool. In the meantime, nobody understands my reviews anymore and I don’t understand why they don’t get them: there's even a generational gap on the site, and I'm starting to understand why people like Hal, Grasshopper (and now Vellutogrigio) have packed up: everyone has their time. But first I want to reach two hundred reviews. Actually, you know what? I’ll post another one, still from Canned Heat! :)
