Seth MacFarlane Ted

I haven't seen the movie, but from the trailer alone, I had the feeling that it relied on over-the-top and hollow comedy. I completely agree with the analysis of "Family Guy" & Co.: apart from rare and brilliant moments, it's a showcase of repetitiveness and pure Yankee opportunism at 24 carats.
Christopher Nolan Inception

I saw it for the first time yesterday. It grabbed me and I liked it a lot; still, I share the "criticisms" that have already been made: too linear, too explained, only the ending is ambiguous, the rest is all quite clear even though the film keeps you on edge until the end and has no drops. I agree that the dreams are very "à la Matrix" rather than true dream worlds, but the disorienting atmosphere is well done. The actors are good, Nolan is good, and especially the set designers are excellent: some backdrops are priceless.. Author's blockbuster? I don't know, the future will tell. The fact is that films like this are, today, in the first decade of the 2000s, pure gold..
Camel Moonmadness

Everything is well written but also everything has already been read. And you forgot along the way "Another night," perhaps the most atypical piece from Camel's early period. Anyway, I'm going to get the vinyl now.
Teletubbies Strangeland

The iconic representation of a mental illness? A disturbing epitaph on lost innocence? What is certain is that this short only confirms my theory: the Teletubbies are a breeding ground for madness.

Good review even though I don't agree with you on the supposed miraculous quality of this album... The songs are arranged poorly (the strong tracks all at the beginning: it's idiotic...) and certain choices regarding the tracks leave much to be desired: why exclude "Luminous Times," I've never understood. This is to say that as an album, it's far from being effective and complete. However, it does contain a couple of songs that are true milestones, and I would say that's not a small thing... I really wish that after this album that jerk Bono hadn't started acting like a two-bit preacher, throwing his and the band's credibility to the winds...
Alesso Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 [23-3-2012]

If you used punctuation recklessly, constructed lengthy sentences, and provoked with a few more outrageous comments, this review would be a masterpiece of trash. But as it stands, you take yourself too seriously. A vote of encouragement to do worse. "I am a rocker who hides a tacky soul" is a galactic nonsense worth framing.
Ridley Scott Prometheus
Voto:
I saw it.. I liked it enough, but you're right, it's full of crap and ridiculous, poorly done scenes.. It's a really good sci-fi film and visually it's a true delight.. But it's a bit depressing that it only works when it relies on the "historical" material of the first Alien. "Prometheus" is a reworking of "Nostromo", the alien spaceship and the Space Jockey are the same designs by Giger, and so on.. The "new" parts are really stretched thin and feel like déjà vu.. Many things, among other things, don't add up, the happy ending feels completely out of place (they all should have died..), Scott's self-referencing at times is embarrassing.. But I still enjoyed it, with some truly powerful scenes: seeing the Space Jockey's chair rise from the bowels of the spaceship was a little thrill.. Even though I fear it’s not the same chair as in the first film, am I right?
Gabriele Muccino Come Te Nessuno Mai
Voto:
A film that is just like the world it wants to describe: shitty and populated by incompetent people placed there solely for fucking nepotism and nothing more. And this stinking trend is exactly what has produced the atrocities of Moccia and so on.. This time the grumpy review, sharp and hasty works well.. You could have made it a little longer..
Dingo Pictures Dinosauri
Voto:
Just the fact that this Dingo Pictures (which I shamefully didn't know) is the Asylum of animated films, giving it a score lower than 5 is simply criminal. I haven't seen the whole movie yet, but it's obviously a first-rate trash. What year is it from?
Peter Weir Master & Commander

Perhaps the finest film about Napoleonic seafaring... Perhaps one of the most painful reviews ever...
