"made them appear hateful in the eyes of the dullness of many former admirers"...in complete disagreement with this phrase. I am a former admirer of the band, but I certainly don't consider myself dull in judging the music I listen to. Those two albums represent, in my opinion, the lowest point of their careers, and not necessarily because they’re filled with dance-floor electronics, but because they are completely bland and sterile in terms of composition and emotion. As for the album in question, I can judge it as sufficient, but only if taken into account within the timeframe in which it was released, namely the year 2006, which was certainly not one of the most flourishing for gothic metal (excluding the last masterpiece by Dark Lunacy, of course). The only tracks that stand out are "Storm," "Fade" (which fully adheres to the stylistic features of gothic metal of the new millennium), and "Debris," which shows a regained verve in the arrangement phase. Lorentz's keyboards are always excellent, but they alone are not enough to support the structure. If we look at the band's past, however, the situation is sadly pathetic.

Heron, I respect everyone’s opinions, even those contrary to my own; if articulated wisely, they can only please me. Unfortunately, I have had the chance to notice from your comments regarding other bands that your judgment is heavily stereotyped and, I’m sorry, I don’t appreciate people who have such blinders on. I’ll mention one in particular: the one about Madder Mortem, who are anything but gothic metal... perhaps yours is pure misogyny, typical of many metalheads afraid of the talent of many women... or maybe it’s just ignorance, but after all, for 90% of metalheads, that’s a buzzword. I’ve noticed that many people throw insults at each other (the terminology used reflects the "intelligence" of many individuals) over differing tastes. Perhaps for you and many others here, the word objectivity doesn’t exist; for me, however, it holds sacred value... so you can spare your comments, you won't receive any more replies from me.
