Cimba, it's not worth getting an ulcer over a song :-( (although I agree with you). Valerio, if I write a riff and Page steals it from me, writing a "masterpiece" over it (with the help of others in the group) (because Stairway, that's what it is, copied or not), I can claim the rights, but in the end, I will own a nice riff, while Page will own a masterpiece. Do you understand the difference?

There it is, your ace in the hole, does it mean that you're able to play it with your little guitar at home? If so, congratulations! @Supersoul: I've never heard the original versions, it's true, but the point of the bunch of stuff I wrote above was that the success of Led Zeppelin isn't just due to a stolen arpeggio or riff, but to something much more significant, something that perhaps others didn't have. Try taking the arpeggio of Stairway To Heaven and sing a Zucchero song over it to see if it can change the history of rock too...

Oh, I always take exaggerated risks from there...:-) You got me, I meant "Black Mountain Side," but sometimes my memory fails. Anyway, I believe the songs of Zeppelin are something incredibly intense, and the chemistry among the four of them was (always in my opinion, otherwise someone might protest) unmatched. Whether they copied the aforementioned songs or not doesn’t change the emotions they make me feel, and if the earlier authors didn’t evoke the same feelings, maybe the Zeppelins brought something a little extra. Sometimes I think there’s a tendency to approach music in a way that's too "brainy"... I like to listen with my heart, and my heart likes Zeppelin.

What are you looking for, the "flower grandchildren"? I quote Metallaro and add, "We just have to wait for a new drug to make its way..." and kill you with an overdose. Sorry for the harshness, but I'm in that mood today.

Nice review, even if it's a double one. The album is legendary, and I don't think I'm capable of ranking the top 4; they are all wonderful, although the one that has marked me the most is the 1st. Azzo and Alessio: it’s probably well-known, but as far as I know, Danelectro was definitely used in White Summer, B-side of I can’t remember what, but anyway from '69. Where did he use his most famous Les Paul (the one with the bridge pickup without a cover)?

Time hasn't been on my side lately (and I'm incredibly slow at writing reviews), but I'll try to do better :-) Hi!

Look, I have the album, and I didn't even dislike it, but giving it a 5 is just not right! They are good (as musicians I mean) but they’re selling their souls to the mainstream. They’ve made some very commendable tracks across all their albums, but the rest is just cheap commercial nonsense... It would be a 2.5, but it drops to a 2 because today I feel quite wicked! Ahahah!!!

Hi Precog! I bought "The Fable of Adam and Eve" (about a month ago) because I couldn't find the first one... I expected it to be much more manageable, but I was pleasantly surprised by the sophistication of the lyrics, especially the tracks you didn't mention ("Come Si Conviene" and "L'Origine Del Mondo" above all). Great recommendation, thank you so much! Bye!

What can I say, Surfer... Amazing! I’ve never heard of the guy in question, but your review totally sold me, it has to be mine! PS: have you heard the latest from John Butler? I think it’s phenomenal... Bye!
