Beautiful! Great review, especially honest; you don't find that about U2. It's either a masterpiece no matter what, or it's torn apart in the name of Bono, Africa, the fly glasses, and everything else... not certainly for the music. This is the price to pay for fame and popularity. The album is pleasant and surpasses the previous two crap albums.

I don't know, I've always found him genius, beyond the compilations and the remixes and the disgusting fictions that came after... for me, he was a little genius in the way he presented himself, in his writing, in his composition. Sure, he didn't compose a "creuza de ma," but who cares? He was great; if we don't celebrate these musicians, I don't see many others saving themselves in the Italian music scene.

Unfortunately, I did listen to the album, and trust me, I'm not the only one... the person in question simply sucks, has a cloying voice, and always sings the same way.
