LA RECENSIONE

There are singers who, after a one-hit wonder, are forgotten. Due to this characteristic, they are underappreciated by a good part of the critics, but, even after years, their songs maintain an incredible strength, capable of taking us back in time. One of these singers is Valeria Rossi, remembered for the success of "Tre parole," a perfectly crafted and enjoyable song, whose appeal reached every corner of the peninsula, carefree and fresh like summer. During that period, I too was humming that chorus, riding my scooter, searching for the three words from the song—sun, heart, and love.

The album that includes the song is "Ricordatevi dei fiori," an impressive debut of our artist, a brilliant collection of melodic sounds. It's the kind of classic CD you want to listen to when you are seeking a bit of serenity from music and that you pack in your suitcase before heading to the sea, along with some other easy-listening albums. I heard it for the first time at a friend's house and, frankly, I expected a piece of work just like this; I would have been surprised to hear something different. Songs like "Tutte le mattine," "Come un girasole," and "Pensavo a te" are decent. In the end, it's easy to listen to and doesn't tire, but it is recommended only to those who love harmonious tunes.

Well, as a debut, considering that the album includes "Tre parole" which, in the end, remains the most beautiful track. Today, this work deserves to be re-evaluated, to try to listen to it again, to give importance again to a work that deserves it. I think it's necessary to rediscover the recent past of music, especially Italian music, which is full of beautiful songs that, given the right moment, achieve success. It's up to us to recover them and make them ours again, because within them lie our memories.
