Poet Rainer... the fact is that as Zigghio states, "there are fewer and fewer interesting films in theaters, and let’s not even talk about Italian cinema... comparing it to that of the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s is madness." Indeed, I usually love to watch films that do not go beyond the 80s on TV.
Moreover, there is often a tendency to see the past as better than the present. "Men always praise the ancient times, but not always reasonably, and the present accuses: and in this way they are partisans of the past that not only celebrate those eras that are known to them from the memories left by recognized writers, but also those that, being already old, they remember having seen in their youth. And when this opinion of theirs is false, as it most often is, I am persuaded that there are various causes that lead them to this deception." I went looking for it online because I remembered a similar passage from Machiavelli. This happens quite often, and today, unfortunately, even more so. I go to the cinema rarely, but I would say that the old Italian directors are still worth it (if only there were a change of this kind), along with French and German films, and occasionally some American films (as long as they aren’t one of those blockbusters, full of epicness and at the same time distorting the actual history with special effects)...

At first, I would have given you a 5, but then re-reading "Le debolezze delle scene berlusconiane servono però a capire quanto 'Il caimano' non sia un film politico, ma quanto piuttosto un film sulla realtà sociale italiana all'interno di quel vasto e viscido mondo che è il cinema tricolore." Do you mean it's a film about how our social reality is represented? Isn't that a way of doing politics too? Anyway, the ending is utterly disappointing. It's just a "tesi rivoluzionaria d'accatto," propagandistic. Poet Ryanair (forgive me for the name distortion, but I couldn't resist), is there any chance to read films in programming? There's a review of Epic Movie :P. Yes, indeed, there are few, but there are some reviews written during the film screenings, like (Mio fratello è figlio unico, Centochiodi, Mr. Bean, Svalvolati on the road).

I apologize for the countless spelling and syntax errors due to the haste of the previous comment. I also ask for forgiveness for the length of the previous comment.

I must admit I've been unfair with the rating: there are far worse things out there (the Vanzina brothers - those with Alvaro Vitali, WHO BY THE WAY I’VE NEVER SEEN). And the fact that I've already said it's mediocre implies at least a 2 or a 3 (at most though); but in the moment I was impulsive @ Poletti: the madman is back.?DEBASER=reviews (well, musical) written by those who want (so also by someone who knows nothing about cinema). Moreover, I didn’t write the review to get noticed by Almodòvar. What disappointed me tremendously was when Pepa pops up with a line like "I understood everything! Ivan is with the lawyer." Does it just come to her like that? By female intuition? Just because the lawyer treats her badly and doesn't want to defend her? Similar reasoning: Poletti, are you calling me crazy because you want to steal my girl? I probably don't like Almodovar's style, many characters seemed too stereotypical, too "extreme" to me. In fact, "eletto1987," I will make sure to watch more, but this one felt inconclusive, hanging. @kosmogabri: why? Do you think all Spaniards throw their phones out the windows, keep geese on their terraces (the thing I liked most about the film) and constantly insult each other? When I went to Barcelona years ago, they didn't all seem like that, but maybe Catalonia is a special case. Was it just a random generalization or a provocation?

It could very well be that all his films have a common thread, and that seeing just one is somewhat limiting.

But am I the only one who loves "And now I ask time for time and he responds: I don’t have any"?

Welcome! But for me, "I was born free" is not overrated.

Nice. Still, a smile comes to my lips, a few hearty laughs. Built up too much on the ending. I haven't seen the previous Mr. Bean movie versions.
