Joel & Ethan Coen A Serious Man
Voto:
Loaded with meanings and very deep reflections, less sparkling and without situations that linger in memory. Nothing has stayed in my memory; even reading the plot, I struggle to recall it. Disappointing.
Muddy Waters At Newport 1960
Voto:
With Willie Dixon, Otis Redding, and Chuck Berry, for me, Waters is one of the best bluesmen of the last 50 years. (Berry also played the blues). Unfortunately, I've never listened to the record... the review is good.
Bob Dylan Desire
Voto:
To preface, Dylan is almost always good; in my opinion, the best works are from The Freewheelin' to Blonde on Blonde, all 5-star albums. In the following years, he produced great masterpieces like Blood on the Tracks, Oh Mercy, Time Out of Mind... but the period I prefer is definitely the 60s.
Crosby, Stills & Nash Crosby, Stills & Nash
Voto:
Album that I loved very much, there are many beautiful songs, but above all I highlight Suite of Judy Blue Eyes and Wooden Ships. At that time I considered Stills the soul of the group, even with Neil Young joining later. Young is great, but he gave his best in his solo albums. Good review.
The Allman Brothers Band Eat A Peach
Voto:
Great album, my favorite song is Blue Sky by Betts, who took the reins of the band in the later Brother and Sisters, equally beautiful, the band's shift towards country.
Lynyrd Skynyrd (Pronounced Léh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd)
Voto:
Nice album, I would rate it 4 stars. In a discography of good quality, the best is "Street Survivors," the one where the band members are engulfed in flames. Some consider it prophetic since shortly after, Van Zant and two other musicians died in a plane crash. Gary Rossington and Allen Collins formed the band that bears their names, producing a couple of good albums.
Bob Dylan The Bootleg Series Vol.4 - Live 1966 - The "Royal Albert Hall" Concert
Voto:
One of the most famous (and beautiful) live albums by the singer-songwriter. Even more well-known is the anecdote "I don't believe you... You're a liar." I also like "The Bootleg Series, Vols. 1-3" just as much. Good review, although I prefer them to be more concise.
Terry Riley Persian Surgery Dervishes
Voto:
I have always liked it, a little-known and underrated author. Good review.
Ten Years After Live at the Fillmore East 1970
Voto:
Great album... and I've said it all.
