A record worth listening to, perfect for those who enjoy soul sung gracefully.

I thought it was barely sufficient when it came out, and my opinion hasn't changed.

@bjork, @OleEinar, I don't know the Camel. But the whole idea of a gradual approach to a certain type of music makes me think of someone who smokes 40 cigarettes a day and wants to quit by taking one away each week. In another comment, I mentioned Roundabout; right now I’m listening to The Cinema Show, and a little while ago, The Musical Box, both by Genesis. It doesn’t seem difficult to appreciate them to me. At the risk of sounding repetitive, I’ll say again that for me, it’s more of a matter of prejudice. Anyway, the Camel have piqued my interest; I will definitely download some of their compositions. Bye.

@OleEinar, for me it has a lot to do with prejudice. I've already mentioned Selling England..., but it took me a while to accept Punk. The same goes for some artists who were making experimental music like Tim Buckley, or Tuxedomoon that I already mentioned in another comment; I’ll also add Jazz, naming only my favorites, which are Charlie Parker and Thelonious Monk. They're very difficult to digest, but if they reach you, you fall in love.

Hi bjork. Going back to @OleEinar, I want to say that in my opinion there’s music that hits you right away, like for example the catchy tunes that I absolutely don’t consider a subgenre. For instance, I always mention Maledetta Primavera, which is a song that resonates immediately. On the other hand, when I first listened to Selling England By The Pound by Genesis, it took me at least a couple of listens to really appreciate it, because I was used to listening to CSN&Y, or Creedence... and I had some preconceived notions. But Selling England... reached me anyway, it just took a bit more time.

@Pibroch, I think you misunderstood me, I never said you were shoveling shit on prog. I took a random sentence from a comment about Björk where the word prog was mentioned. I did it because I didn't understand what prog meant. I believe I got it after reading the subsequent comments, prog is progressive. Right?

@OleEinar, what are you saying? Introducing progressive music gradually leads to rejection crises... this is music, it's something to listen to, something to love if it can evoke pleasant emotions. Staying on this album, do you think that if you play "Roundabout" for someone who doesn't know progressive, they might have a rejection crisis? Do they need to be introduced to it by listening to Camel first? ... come on... (It seems to me that prog and progressive are the same thing)

@Pibroch, I’m not joking. If it’s played music, why do they write prog? I randomly copied and pasted where this word appears: you’re the one who goes into prog reviews to say it’s crap if I’m not mistaken, you definitely did… what does it mean? Oh, I almost forgot, there’s also the post that I still don’t understand what it is.
