bubu7, are you referring to me by any chance?

For once, I dare to say that I agree with happypippo... on trust, because I don’t have the album. I might have some tracks downloaded from emule, but I’m not sure if they’re from this work. In any case, what I've listened to from Davis, I really like.

For me, it's Mel Brooks' best film, a must-see. For those who love the genre, I recommend Per favore... non mordermi sul collo! by Polanski.

Great band, and great live performance. As you rightly say, it represents the artistic testament of the original group.

Get yer ya ya's out, it's one of the best live albums of all time, it's a shame they didn't make it double, as was in their original intentions.

Bravo de gustibus, the last great album by the Stones, for me is Exile on Main Street, which is why I wrote from '62 to '72. But the Stones records I prefer are the early ones, which were filled with covers. It took a bit of time before Jagger and Richards really hit their stride as songwriters.

But were they really looking for rarities from '71 to '03? Wouldn't it have been better to look from '62 to '72? "Wild Horses" has always made my knees weak, "Mannish Boy" and "I Just Wanna Make Love To You" are by Willie Dixon if I remember correctly, so well before '71. "Tumbling Dice" is fine, but far from masterpieces like "Sympathy for the Devil," etc. But deep down, it might be worth a listen, if only to hear how they interpreted Dixon's songs. The covers (so many covers) they did in the '60s sometimes surpassed the originals.

I agree, there’s never a clear boundary between genres. And you can’t even say that Punk was born in a certain year, and that these were the first ones; the same goes for Rock 'n' Roll. The other day I was watching a video on Elvis, and they said that he invented it along with Bill Haley and Little Richard, not a word about Jackie Brenston or Roy Brown. Were their "Rocket 88" and "Good Rockin' Tonight" rhythm and blues, or Rock 'n' Roll? Who can say? What’s certain is that Elvis covered Good Rockin' Tonight a few years later.

I bought the vinyl record, then I bought it again on CD. It contains at least 4-5 excellent tracks, especially Refugee.

@emofiliaco, why does it have to start at noon? Have you read what Bjork wrote? Also, I'd like to know when we need to come back. As far as I'm concerned, if it's just to meet for a few hours, I should think about it carefully. If it's for a couple of days, in my opinion, that's better. After all, there's more than a month until September 22nd, and those who work can take 1-2 days off.
