Genesis Selling England By The Pound

bjorky, I was referring to sonic nihilism, in the sense that they are less "pompous" (forgive the term) compared to other prog bands, and therefore they sound less dated in terms of sonic impact.

In my opinion, the only limit of the early works of King Crimson is the excessive dreamy romanticism, which I adore, but which makes the records seem dated to modern listeners. The VDGG, on the other hand, are still very relevant, sound-wise, precisely because they are a bit more nihilistic.

I would instead place King Crimson, VDGG, and Soft Machine on the podium. Genesis and Yes, partly because of their declining careers and partly due to a milder experimentation, I see them below in terms of artistic stature... It’s true, however, that some pieces by VDGG could use some lightening up; the thing is, I wouldn't know what to remove for a trimming... :-)

it's just a pity that between Shakira and reviews of Italic metal, your review won't remain the necessary in òm pèig... regards
