Metallà, they 'censored' my review written with so much soft love 'Bjork-Post'! What the heck, it was an absolute bomb and it's your marble right to read it and enjoy it. De Niro at his best in a flamboyant performance (when he was still 'trying' to choose his films rather than just signing million-dollar checks), but Nolte's performance in an ambiguous and 'chiaroscuro' role - mirroring the 'evil' embodied by Max Cady - is exemplary of a great actor: essential and fluid. Scorsese plays with genres (better than in 'The Departed'), and he does so with his unique style – classic yet revisionist.
