Rolling Stones Shine A Light
Voto:
I agree with you, there is... perhaps it's a bit harsh to say that the Rolling Stones ended with Taylor's departure (although everyone has their own opinions, obviously), but it's largely true. And it's also true that they produced memorable tracks, even lesser-known ones (I think of Hey Negrita or Slave), after 1974. But never again an album.
The vote on the work is based on trust...

Well, it's not that the songs are of lower quality, you said that too. They are just... different. It's the arrangements that make them feel so cold, making them seem (and I emphasize seem) distant. But in my opinion, they remain great songs, with a Cohen in great shape in both voice and lyrics.

beautiful but, dear Frank, the opening is pretty much the same as that of blackeyeddog in the review of Jeff Buckley's grace. regards.
Lucio Battisti Il Mio Canto Libero

No, the review isn’t bad; there are worse... but I think that 1. you have confused Battisti with Mogol, who signed all the lyrics, and 2. you have misinterpreted the meaning of some songs, which to me don’t seem to talk about death at all. But we could go on forever arguing about the meanings of a text, and we wouldn’t reach a conclusion. This, of course, is my point of view.

And last but not least, I invite everyone to go to "more info" (a bit hidden, to be honest) in the box on the right. I posted a nice little link there.

For zaireeka: well done, you noticed this detail, which simply comes from the fact that these two discs are the only ones from Family that I have - so my only point of reference.
