The Police Synchronicity Concert
Voto:
well well appreciable rece, I got to know The Police with Regatta and then I got into the others. I saw the video of Message, Copeland was really monstrous, probably one of the best drummers of the time.

Great album, it competes with Cannibali for the best in my opinion. "Oggi un dio" is his best track ever.

Rece lovely, I must say I had been meaning to do it for a while. A fantastic album that can appeal even to those who can't stand Branduardi, so far removed it is from his usual medieval clichés. Didn't you mention that originally each LP was divided by color (the first 8 "blue", the next 8 "Red" and the remaining ones "white"), and what’s more important in my opinion, this fits into the long trend desired by RCA in the late '70s – and later exploited by other labels – of singer-songwriter concerts accompanied by big prog bands or at least similar ones. Just to name a few, Guccini with the Nomadi, De André with PFM, this one, Cocciante with New Perigeo and Rino Gaetano, Dalla and De Gregori with Ron, Ron himself with PFM.

I agree with you, at least overall. In the sense that I believe with this album we can start talking about the decline of prog, and (I think) you can hear the reasons why punk will emerge a few years later. Long songs stretched to the limit, forced lyrics, endless durations. Not a bad album, far from it, but it is distant from the freshness of the two before it. Avoid the trackbaitrack.
