In my opinion, the best performance by Jim Carrey is in The Mask, followed by Ace Ventura 1. After all, he was born to make people laugh; it’s a natural gift that shouldn’t be cut down like it’s a plague. Of course, no film he has starred in will ever be considered a masterpiece, but the goal is to spend two hours with a bit of carefree joy.
