Soulfly Live @ Salento Summer Festival 17.08.07

The SOulfly ARE THE TRIBAL METAL GROUP PAR EXCELLENCE! I was there too, I arrived more or less halfway through the Extrema and really enjoyed the prophet MAX! A spectacular concert, but as Folio said, another location would have been better. Anyway, the song was "Bleed." Also, there were various messes, since the Stigma, for strange reasons and I don't know what the hell they are, played super late (after the Soulfly) and then I think the police showed up to shut everything down. Well, I left after Max, but a friend of mine told me everything. Anyway, great Soulfly, I hope to see them again soon.

For me, it remains a great album... made seriously and with excellent ideas! Then do as you please... after all, criticizing Korn (and my reviews) has become a trend on DeBaser...

I would never have gone to that day (in fact I was happily enjoying Korn, Megadeth, and Ozzy on the 30th), and on that day there were hardly any "metal" bands (besides Mötley Crüe, who are more hard rock than metal), and well, Eldritch were metal, but the others definitely weren’t, so that day was all about the Gods of Hard Rock. But since there has always been some hard rock at the GOM that's fine; the other days were a whole different story: Dimmu Borgir, Heaven & Hell, Dream Theater, Blind Guardian, Korn, Ozzy, Megadeth, BLS, Dark Tranquillity... those were the Gods of Metal, a fun and sweet review... and above all, not heavy like the ones I usually do. Unfortunately for you, you missed half a day of the festival, so! Bye!

Well, the newspapers and critics began to call the sound of Black Sabbath "metal"... which at the time was the most "metal" thing on the market, that's how it is... an iconic album! A review that wasn't needed since it says the same things as the others... if it had been different, OK.

Indeed, in this tour, the debut album has been favored: Clown, Divine, Shoots, Blind... a grand concert... with guts... I’m sorry I didn’t see the TON... but they just didn’t attract me... but if they truly put on a great show as you say, then hats off to them; I also agree about the Megadeth... the band they brought along doesn’t deliver.
