Red, Lizard, and Island are the best. But also this... Bruford, I can almost see him better here than in Yes.

Yes, in fact I would have included a sung part at the end of the suite "Io sono nato libero" too, but by now the obese one and his associates have decided otherwise. Let's not forget that there is a track on the album titled "Dopo ... niente è più lo stesso," which, I don't know if I'm making myself clear... I've never appreciated politics in music, but here I have to make an exception. The Area, for example, just don't sit well with me: yes, they are an honest jazz-rock-prog band, but nothing more, and on top of that they are also half brigatisti. The Area is far below PFM and Le Orme, and even Banco. When will we see a review of "Come in un' ultima cena"?

Well Lethe, you won't tell me that Le Orme are tacky: simple yet complex. Speaking of synthesizers, listen to Contrappunti (by Le Orme): there they reached the top with electronics.

Let's say that the first three albums by Banco are unmissable. There's not one that I like more or less; they are all three masterpieces. I have always considered them a bit below PFM and especially Le Orme (my favorite), but they are still a great band. No one used synthesizers quite like Banco did: they have that vague Keith Emerson flavor, but when listened to more closely, they reveal the trademark of the aforementioned band; they used them almost as if they were brass instruments, with a slight delay on the touch, and they almost never used glide, which at the time was all the rage (for those who don’t know, glide is that effect that links one note to another, making it sound like a kind of siren: an example? Impressioni di settembre, Lucky Man, Here Comes the Sun, E' festa, etc.). "o sono nato libero" is perhaps underrated; however, upon further reflection, it may be the best of the three.

5 to the immortal film. 2 to the review: Poletti, you’re like Scaruffi; you enjoy being a contrarian. It’s only natural for a human mind to prefer a film like this over the post-avant-garde Eritrean experimental cinema that you pretend to appreciate; after all, everyone knows you then cram yourself into your little room, put on "Quel gran pezzo dell' Ubalda..." and get off like a steam engine. This has become your typical style (also Scaruffi’s): famous, appreciated work = crap. So what are you doing in this world? It’s all crap, Poletti.

This movie is amazing. The damn rock is a brilliant idea that could only have been conceived here in Italy.
