but putting it in literary cases, which here takes up space from other reviews that have something to say, right? and the meter limps too

Be careful when you talk about Buddhism, not to mix real events with other "romanticized" ones, like the tradition that sees Bodhidharma as the transmitter of Chan in China, or even the idea that the first Zen patriarch is Mahākāśyapa (also called Pippalayana! I swear!): these are all constructions made a posteriori by hagiographers, not by historians, often dating back to the Song era. It seems a bit imprecise to say that the heart of Chan is 100% Indian, because that overlooks the impressive influence played by Taoism in the formation of the school (or rather, schools, since there were several Zen schools, each with its own characteristics), such as the idea of instant enlightenment. A school like Chan (with the features that make it what it is) could only have been born in China. But why are we discussing such things on a review site?!

I'm an '83 kid. If you’ve been to Venice recently (in the last two years), you might have seen me at Ca' Vendramin. Yupa... but did you know that he practically still lives in the department? I don't want to end up like him.

This year, Ceresa was taking a course called "Culture, Thought, and Society in East Asia," a horror I wouldn't wish on anyone.

BUUU failed! But I guess you'll be back before the Olympics start, right? You'll mostly see the preparations, I reckon. More than suggesting you to go to the second semester of your third year, they're imposing it on you since there's no other way (and taking private courses in the summer costs you a ton more and they don't even recognize it). Anyway, you (rebel) might have a vague idea of who I am if you're in your third year, depending on which second language you took.

but they never teach anything about Korea because nobody knows anything (or they pretend to! do you know what would happen to the "Japanese uniqueness" if it were revealed how much Japan owes to Koreans..), it’s just me who is fixated and knows a bit of stuff. anyway, even Amidaism, just to change things up, is Chinese, and quite late, given that much of its basic texts are translated only in the fifth century. I think we're a bit off-topic.... but maybe someone could find these things interesting. or maybe not.

There is no doubt that Zen (or rather Ch'an) is rooted in the Indian meditative tradition (dhyana), but as a "school," with all its unique practices for which it is known, it is indeed Chinese.

I had an epiphany: with the 15 songs that are similar to each other, perhaps he meant to say that they are all beautiful in the same way. What do you think of this interpretation?
