In the early days, I remember reading glowing reviews of this band, but I never really trusted them (if I’m not mistaken, I saw them once on All Music, and they seemed just like dozens of other bands, only arriving late). The review is a bit too short, though.

I don't know, the review doesn't convince me, the album definitely does. Aside from the fact that about three and a half years have passed between the two albums and in the meantime they've also released "Safety Second, Body Last" (and much of what you hear on this album comes from there, starting from the sound which is definitely less violent compared to the first part of their career). By the way, "Plague Soundscapes" already sounded quite different from the previous records; the band's sound is in constant change while remaining distinctly recognizable, which is not something everyone can achieve. Rather, I'm curious about the lyrics; obviously I haven't found it in stores around here yet... oh, right, by the way, "antidemocratic lyrics"?? ah, how many things there would be to say about this album!

Okay, I thought I’d do this a long time ago but in the end... well, roughly speaking, I agree, this album is definitely great (unlike Life on the Ropes which had some great tracks but too many fillers or songs lacking bite). I think the change of label has benefited the band, which has produced the most convincing album in a decade, finally songs that are all up to par with the name on the cover. However, they really need to be experienced live, sometimes I have the impression that they record albums mainly as an excuse to go on tour. But don't use all those swear words!

I listened to the tracks on MySpace, and if the songs are all more or less like those, I can't help but agree with everything you've said. The voice is nice (in its own way!), but who knows what it would sound like without effects. And above all, where do they see the industrial??? p.s. how sad, everyone is leaving comments on the review of birbabirba and no one is showing up here...

Wow, you speak so highly of it! I'm almost tempted... the idea of increasing the music reviews works for me, as for the film ones, I don’t even look at them (for me, Debaser remains a music site, sorry...) and then what if robymichieletto writes another text... maybe just when I decide to write a new review myself... heh heh.
