Compared to the great wave of melodic hardcore a few years ago, the phenomenon seems to have significantly subsided recently, and most of the records of this genre released today, especially in Italy, are from those irreducible bands that continue to carry forward their passion for this sound. An example is represented by the Invasione degli Omini Verdi who, after two albums, once again contribute to the Italian hc scene with "Contro".

Nothing has changed, the reference bands are still No Use For A Name, Lagwagon, and Rufio, but these guys have certainly gained more experience in mastering their instruments. Continuous changes in rhythm can be seen in the track "Illusione" and a punk rock vein in "D'Istinto". The anger is fully expressed in the track titled "Violentami", which displays a slow, purely rock refrain.

Irony and invectives are the characteristics of the lyrics, which for almost half an hour speak mainly about experiences and references to the society we live in. Twelve well-played tracks despite the genre being now very overdone. For lovers of Italian melodic hardcore, it is a pleasant album to listen to, flowing smoothly without hitches, but I wouldn't shout a miracle like some would have us believe...
