Well, Black, aside from the fact that advertising isn't hidden, many places (more or less famous) in Rome get the recognition they deserve. I think that in the context of a situation where tourism in the boot (especially in the art cities like Rome) is rather dim, I wouldn't turn my nose up at a reminder every now and then. In any case, my opinion (regarding the ad for Rome) is shared by minds that are undoubtedly more enlightened (and forgive the reference) than mine, yours, lest it be...

You’re right, Lux: normally I respond with “potatoes for beans” and divert the conversations. Taking on all the other faults you mention (including those of having subjected you to worse provocations and called you ignorant), I bid you farewell. P.S. When the right moment comes (but at this point, if it ever comes), you’ll see those statistics.

Isi, but can’t you do it the week after too? I’ll come as well!

Lux, the only way to deal with you is to agree with you, so keep it that way (remember what they say in Naples about being right, anyway...), I renew my advice about psychological support, which doesn’t seem like an insult but rather good advice, eh yes, it's better to be a fool or a trickster than a braggart full of himself who thinks he knows everything but actually knows nothing. @Giustiziere: Lux is asking me about the statistics I mentioned in post 40 (which I had already anticipated I wouldn’t publish): I would have provided them to the young man if he had asked me appropriately. The point, however, is that provocatively in post 42 he asks me for definitions (I think we can all agree that if I had posted those definitions, it wouldn't have clarified anything about whether I know them, right? Assuming I didn’t know them, I could easily go look them up, knowing where to find them, since, as I repeat, I studied Statistics and still have the books...) and I know the tone is provocative because evidently the young man hasn’t yet absorbed the anger from a discussion we had a few days ago about another review. At this point, I tried to be ironic, but evidently, the irony wasn’t caught because the dear youth kept insisting in the same tone, questioning my knowledge again. At this point, I told him he is entitled to hold onto his doubts (like I have mine about him, though) and that under these conditions, I won't publish anything at all. I haven't counted them, but I believe he has continued to insist on this for at least 5 posts (getting progressively more aggressive) and I have responded just as many times that he is free to think what he wants, but I am not changing my position (therefore, he can think I am a charlatan: he is free to do so) and in the last one, I thought to suggest he find some support because his behavior seems, to say the least, a bit unbalanced. The mistake I made was possibly giving him attention, but I thought the discussion would die out: for this, I apologize and promise that I won't give him anything else to "eat," and in fact, I do more, I give him reason, and who knows, maybe it will be over. Greetings to all.

Isi replied to you, Madcat. The character of Virgil is, by the authors' own admission (Paola Barbato and Bruno Brindisi), a tribute to Zanardi. It's clear that they couldn't completely replicate his personality (which, in any case, doesn't differ that much) but the likeness is quite striking. Bye.

It's not like we can mention all of his nineties albums... we would be guilty of partisanship (More than that...) ;-)

@Kosmo: in fact, the French (despite appearances) love us, so I tend not to consider them so "extra" to us... if I’m not mistaken, a few years ago someone said that "the French are Italians in a bad mood," right? ;-) So that Pazienza (but I confirm, as you say, also other Italian authors) is appreciated doesn’t surprise me.

So for the albums, I agree with Alia, even though "Under the Pink" is still hard to set aside because of the songs; it’s a bit difficult... I’ll mention the 5 (in chronological order) that are most dear to me: "Tear in your Hand," "Yes, Anastasia," "Doughnut Song," "Hey Jupiter," and "Raspberry Swirl"... I hope I've been helpful to my friend Zappofilo ;-) (at least I gather that from the nickname).
