She is certainly very good, but I've never seen her in person. What a shame.

Masterpiece. Interesting and imaginative story, beautiful introspection and clever references to the condition of today's human being. Everyone is great, the director and the cast, and an irresistible Gainsbourg. I don't know if I prefer this or "Eternal Sunshine" (and Be Kind Rewind is equally beautiful), but the fact remains that Gondry (even without Kaufman in the screenplay) engages.

Here, indeed, as it is pointed out, I overlooked that paragraph. I apologize and thank Brat for the clarification.

I felt it was right to write this because the review didn't mention the fact (which I think is important). It wasn't a criticism (I liked the review: the rating speaks for itself :-D) but a note to make everything more accurate. Regarding the DeDataBase, you are probably right, but I believe this film is well enough known to negate the risk that its attribution might cause confusion. Bye.

A few days ago, I read the discussion about the appreciation comics receive, and I would like to share a brief reflection (I'll let the rating speak for the comic and the author in question): it's not true that comics are underappreciated (just look at how much Hollywood has drawn inspiration from them in the last two decades). Maybe they don't have much visibility in Italy, but there's a "silent" movement (I'm using this term because "underground" wouldn’t be accurate: comics remain a Pop experience even in Italy) that involves many people; just look around a bit. The discourse changes when it comes to DeBaser: this site is absolutely not representative of what's happening "out there" (for another example, I would also mention that many musical genres are strongly opposed by the majority of regular users with all possible vigor) because it has a strongly (and often overly) elitist nature, which contrasts with the world of balloons that, I repeat, is Pop. Unfortunately, as often happens in these cases, the result is underestimation and/or, in the worst cases (not rare here on these pages), contempt. Best regards.

From the reading, I gather that it has everything to please me. Added to the list.

Not to be a pain, but this film is not by Tim Burton (who is the producer and creator of the story, based on one of his youthful poems: hence the attribution in the title, but neither director nor screenwriter) but by Henry Selick (I recommend this excellent director's latest, "Coraline and the Secret Door," adapted from Gaiman's short novel). Mike76's note about Švankmajer is totally valid.

Well, Carlo, the impression I had is that often if it weren't for San Ibrahimovic many of Inter's matches in the last season wouldn't have been resolved (at least a dozen for about twenty points that wouldn't have happened without Zlatan). In the previous one, it was even more evident: it may be true that Inter stayed in first place without him, but little by little they squandered all the advantage until the last two matches where everything was at stake, and guess who scored the decisive goals? ;-) Anyway, yes, I was talking about Kaiser Franz but also Belodedici (the first man to win the Cup Winners' Cup with two different teams, and by the way Steaua and Red Star, not Real, Milan, Manchester, etc. etc., and in very different times) is in my top ten. As for Calciopoli, there is much to say but perhaps too much, and I prefer to address the topic in another setting, maybe in one of your upcoming "football" reviews. Bye!
