Botanica Who You Are

@Pien: The second: if you want confirmation, just look at the shipping time from the user at the bottom of it. Bye
@Ste: thanks: the first part is more of a list of names, genres, groups, etc. that were needed to frame the group. :-D
Katsuhiro Otomo Akira

It's strange: a few days ago I saw your ranking of the best animation directors (which, by the way, I hardly agree with, especially in the top positions, considering you placed Miyazaki further down: but everyone has their own opinions ;-D) and I wondered about the absence of Otomo. Now I know the reason. Honestly, I think calling "Akira" overrated is quite bold, although I can agree with you that the screenplay isn’t exactly the film's strong point (but I assure you that at the time we were so caught up in the manga that the quite different story here took a back seat) but what mattered here was the visual experience: and seeing it in the cinema, I assure you, it was a blast. Take care.

Stefano, I care about you, but don’t say those things about that angel Fiona Apple :-D

PS. I assure you that that "world apart" was not meant to have a negative connotation, and it should please you since you have always claimed your uniqueness (and I say this without irony, to be clear).

Bartle: let's put it this way, my sentence is wrong, but aside from DeB, the only other source that harshly criticizes is indeed one from Luglio, which probably relies on the reading of the press release (knowing the reviewer, as you know him too, you know very well that this could be true). Again, I repeat, no one contests your judgments (I haven't even said what I think of the album :-D), I only question a supposed majority stance (which I have demonstrated does not exist) of the same. Regarding the fact that RS and AM are not metal magazines, I believe it's a positive thing that they give good opinions, signaling that Maiden have transcended the Metal scene. In fact, I have always found your comments so far to be quite clear-headed (particularly the one about them getting tired of making Metal: indeed, they have gone beyond, and I find that a positive thing, in contrast to the supposed repetitiveness of the band): but that's not the point (and I won't delve into the "few but good" discussion because it is often valid, although I have doubts in this specific case). The point is that you know when the "numbers" are touched, I go into a frenzy. Bye, with respect.

"TEENAGELOBOTOMY CPTGAIO, I must say that I haven't followed reviews on other sites or magazines." My friend, from your phrase, I gathered that you had heard other opinions besides those of this site, maybe from some fans (and there aren't many on DeB). In that case, your phrase makes sense if we add a nice "on DeB," and I repeat that the validity or not of your (very respectable) judgments does not change with this, but when we talk about quantity, that is a countable fact, so subjectivity has very little to do with it ;-) Take care, my dear.

Bartle, can I call you my friend? Well, the guy in July must have listened to "El Dorado" and the title track, whose video was available from that month if I'm not mistaken.

Well, the only one who tears it apart seems to be Metal Shock (which I had missed) and calling it good company seems exaggerated (considering the subject who is reviewing it). Do you want me to do a quick percentage calculation for you? ;-) In reality, the new fact is that usually hostile magazines (the mentioned Rolling Stone for example, but also to mention a site, Allmusic) seem to have changed their minds. There are really very few of you who have doubts. And let’s be clear, it’s not an objective fact about the quality of the record; I contest the phrase "not even the fans" quoted by Teenage, which is quite far from the truth. I hope you agree, as I’ve been getting positive feedback (almost all) even outside our beautiful circle. Take care.

"BARTLEBOOM @Cpt: the address is correct, just scroll down a couple of times and read the comments at the bottom of the news." Yes, but they're all from June and mainly discuss the announcements about the duration, dates in that month, more than anything else, and on "El Dorado" there are some negative comments, but also many positive ones.
