No, it's just not my kind of thing... at this point, I could also mention "Anatomy of Sharks" by June of 44 and "Tnt" by Tortoise... but I'd risk getting into big trouble...

Honestly, I think that the evolution that both Ilche and Saputello rightly talk about is independent of Barrett's influence but was already present in someone else in the group... who I have already mentioned above. Bye!
P.S. ...and let’s not forget the importance of the melodic presence of an incredible guitarist like Gilmour (but mediocre as a composer).

Oops, "The Fragile" by Nine Inch Nails, "Antichrist Superstar" by Marilyn Manson, and "King for a Day" by Faith No More… now I feel more at ease…

In absolute random order, leaving out others already mentioned: "To Bring You My Love" by P.J. Harvey, "Boys for Pele" by Tori Amos, "Aenima" by Tool, "Dirt" by Alice in Chains, "Siamese Dream" by Smashing Pumpkins, "Murder Ballads" by Nick Cave, "Drumnobass with My Headman" by Underworld, "Lamb" by Lamb, "Countdown to Extinction" by Megadeth, "Season in the Abyss" by Slayer, "Dig Your Own Hole" by Chemical Brothers, "Welcome to Sky Valley" by Kyuss... I hope I haven't missed anything; if so, I'll repost (list posted based on completely personal parameters).

Hi Raiden! I think your list of symbol albums from the '90s is very personal and therefore debatable (just like anyone else's), and I'm not going to bore you with mine, which is very long. So, criticizing this album, which in many parts is even redundant, is more than legitimate. It’s certainly not a bad album, but after all these years, its flaws (many of which have already been mentioned in previous posts) become clear, and that's why I find it hard to rank it among the fundamental albums of that decade, because aside from the initial impact, it left me with very little. Perhaps if a different production had been chosen and a decisive cut in the tracklist had been made, my opinion would be different.

P.S.: Of course, I know that Barrett appears very little in "A Saucerful of Secrets," my point was an example to illustrate what I find irritating from my perspective, and it's not that the first album where his contribution was much greater excites me any more.

Just a moment... I’ve listened to Barrett’s Floyd (or however you want to refer to them) quite well and a lot, but like almost all the ’60s psychedelia, they’ve never really said anything to me. In fact, I find ā€œA Saucerful of Secrets,ā€ for example, to be downright irritating (just my opinion, of course...). So, looking through the tracklist, I feel absolutely no desire to check out this DVD. That said, I respect your tastes (as I’ve already mentioned, I refrained from giving a rating because I haven’t seen it, and I’m someone who judges based on experience rather than bias), and my critiques were solely about the contents of the review, where I think you could have brought a bit more of your own perspective. Many of the things you mention are already well-worn and thus say little or nothing to someone like me who has never appreciated Barrett (take it as constructive criticism). No hard feelings, bye!

P.S.: if there were more "caricatures" like this around... :-)

A bit too brief of a review, I saw them in Milan the day before and in London on the 22nd, and they were excellent and very professional. I imagine that this date was also fantastic.

An often lengthy album and certainly not their most successful, which I believe is "Siamese Dream," although there are at least ten memorable tracks, interesting review.
