P.s. II: Ah! You really didn't understand anything from my comment, read it again, and come back when you're ready for a conversation between mature people. RiHaloa!

@Alessio: But Ciccino, who wants to annoy you? If you get worked up over the slightest ironic comment, this place isn't suitable for you.
P.S.: If you don't want others to provoke you, learn to respect them, and you'll see that no one will bother you anymore... or at least stick to commenting on your Nirvana. Aloha and grow up!

The first one, in its madness, is very convincing. I love the first part... the second is mind-blowing due to how grotesque it is, yet enjoyable...

I'm not saying to eliminate the eye exams, but reducing their space a bit, yes. An audiology session lasts in HP a day and a half if it goes well, while an eye exam can take 4-5 or even more... that's all. Bye!

I quote Pi.Per, the space in HP needs to be reassessed.

@albi6: Tarantino has already acted (and co-written) in a Vampire Movie, albeit an unconventional one like "From Dusk Till Dawn," so it wouldn't be new for him.

Dear Eletto!, Indeed, I wasn't talking about highly cultural films, this is a movie without shame or praise regardless of whether it's entertaining or not, and Tarantino saves it thanks to his talent as a dialogue writer, but beyond that, there really isn't much. Usually, I don't make such discussions, but to help you understand, if you give 4 or 5 to this, what do you give to "Reservoir Dogs" or "Pulp Fiction"? And we are comparing films by the same director, not just within the same genre because otherwise, the discussion becomes more complex... now you might say: "every film should be evaluated on its own merits," which is true, but if I evaluate it on its own, then the huge flaws stand out, namely a plot that is far too predictable, a hyperinflated reliance on references, etc., etc. However, as I already mentioned, at the screenplay level, the guy still has a lot to give; just think about the dialogue in the fast food restaurant between Dawson and the others, 5-6 minutes talking about nothing (among other things, in a way that is not very functional to the film), and yet you remain fascinated because in that nothing, Tarantino still manages to amaze. But for the rest, alas (and you have no idea how much I appreciated his first two films), we are really swimming blind in a sea of few ideas. Of course, it's just my personal opinion.

Dearest Jamal, you hit the nail on the head (of course, there was a bit of irony in my comment), the problem is that generally DT fans immediately go into a frenzy whenever someone dares to question the quality of their heroes. DT plays a very particular genre, so it makes sense that many can't digest it (personally, I find all their works after "I&W," except for "Train of Thought," which I find likable in its very metal and linear nature, quite irritating). What doesn't sit right is that the only defense put forth by these fans is usually the accusation of not having listened carefully or, worse, of not having listened at all, thus judging out of bias.
This is not only untrue (there are people here that I know well and I can say that if they criticize something, it's with the honesty of having actually listened to the album in question, and I count myself among those) but also offensive. DT fans need to realize that Petrucci & co. are not untouchable. Often, it is this obsession to defend them at all costs that betrays bad faith; they are objectively overrated in many respects (yes, even in technique—there are plenty of brilliant guitarists who don't appreciate Petrucci, not out of envy but because he often becomes so self-indulgent that it’s annoying; technique means nothing if it doesn't have a specific purpose). That's all. The funny thing is that these same fans are usually the ones going around on other reviews insulting other people’s tastes. I actually don’t mind DT all that much (in the two albums I mentioned), but they've somehow created a fan group around them that is truly on the verge of annoyance. Cheers!
