Cptgaio, I was referring not to the listens of this record but to the listens of music in general. As for my first sentence, it’s an attitude I find increasingly widespread, but if you say it doesn't apply to you, that only does you credit, and I wouldn't dream of doubting it! As for the God of music... it’s a term I tend to use for much more important things, so I would conclude with a nice who cares ;)

It seems to me that, more and more often, it sounds much more 'alternative' to say "let's stop being cool by listening to unlistenable music"... Huh. I hope that those who have spoken out against this album have at least a decent number of listens behind them...

Bonny91's take on John/Jack is truly one of the most beautiful I've ever read on DeB. Blob, where are you?? // Lostinspace, hi! I saw them live (and in times still acceptable), Kiedis is really pathetic, the rhythm section is very good, Johnny is just being himself, which some might even like.

Eh eh Malloy :) Anyway, I've never disliked John as a guitarist; of course, he should only be considered in Mother's Milk and BSSM, where I believe the RHCP gave their best. Now they are a boy band, obviously. Also, Johnny's first two solo albums are quite crazy (back then it was like a atlas): "Niandra LaDes..." and "Smiles From The Streets You Hold."
