"Fans like to think their idols share the same tastes... it’s almost never the case." I agree with the statement, but R.E.M. is not part of my preferences...

"right as rain" is the brightest example, but it's Tom's singing style that really reminds me of Michael (as I've said elsewhere, "melancholic inside")... but I won't convince you, I know. :-) Anyway. The fact that in "Via" Tom borrows the words "i skipped the part about love" from a Michael song, the fact that the two are very good friends (I have a picture of them drinking from two glasses while crossing their arms...)... doesn't this testify to a surely shared sensitivity? ...if not, I take back the rem. ;-P

Ah... the R.E.M., right? Well, I admit that it’s not exactly the most immediate influence, but listen to Right As Rain, and then let me know.

Well done, Cleo, as always. I would have liked a bit more detail on a few specific tracks, but nonetheless, the poetry of your review is phenomenal! ...it's just that I really can't stomach Nick Cave; I don’t like his voice. I know he is highly appreciated by everyone, but I just can't stand to hear him sing. :-) Regards.

I bought it too, a few days ago. The cover of Agnelli is so beautiful that I haven't listened to the rest yet ;-P

The Strokes Is this It

tastes! tastes! tastes! ...I don't understand why if the Creed copy Pearl Jam they suck (and it's true), while if The Strokes copy Velvet Underground who-the-hell-cares-keep-rocking.
