I'll tell you, Hal, I've read Zaireeka's words twice to make sure, and indeed in my opinion he never says that this album musically reminds him of Tom Waits. In fact - although it is undeniable that its spirit is an inspiring source - at a musical level the influence is quite minimal, I would say (at least of the Waits I know). That said, the fact remains that you need to listen to it ;)

Robbie Williams Escapology

Surely an admirable character for his skill within the music business. However, a rather useless musician. Stefano, you write well, but after Oasis, Britti, and Robbie Williams, it's time you ask Hal to recommend something for you to listen to... ;)

Agreed on everything, psycho. Especially about the memories, or rather "this record and the memories." Temple Bar, a blue elf-like sulky glance, the little used record shop where I buy this record for 10 euros, the green grass of St. Stephen's Green, his CD player, the shared earbuds, Holes, the fairytale that begins. Oh my gosh.

OOOOOOOOOOOOHHH GOOD MORNING SPIDER... good job, zaireeka. Mark Linkous is Mark Linkous. "You are worth hundreds of sparrows," I was moved when I saw you quoted it; this line is of such sweet beauty that I still can’t believe it exists. And his voice. And the narcotic nature of his ballads. I’ll add: the disturbances of Chaos Of The Galaxy/Happy Man and the frenetic sounds in Cruel Sun. @Kosmo, it’s very serious on your part not to know him! Shame on you!

Okay, now that I’ve listened to it quite a bit, I can say that I agree with Frantz. Francesco, I told you that I didn’t see the Grandaddy fitting in, but I have to change my mind: Organeum sounds like a song from the "nonnini"! They might not go down in history, but they are a very pleasant mix of great ingredients! Thx
