Ludwig Van Beethoven Sinfonia No. 7

I had missed this review, I found it wondering if anyone had ever had the courage to review Beethoven. Great JoP. Joining in on the recommendations of what to listen to of his, I would say the Ninth, the "Choral," perhaps the perfect symphony. But I have a soft spot for the Piano Concerto No. 5 ("Emperor"), superb.

The provocation lies in the "against" attitude at all costs, which can sometimes be justified, and at other times less so... Sometimes, like in this case, the impression is that (as a gentleman said in a comment a little higher up) you spread shit just for the sake of it. It's just an impression, though; I may be taking things the wrong way (as Cicciolina said) :D

No thanks kosmic, I read it and it was already long enough :) my conclusion is that, and it's general about the relationship between soundtracks and films. I’ve never listened to the album in question and I won’t comment on it. The review is provocative, but well, there are plenty of those on DeB now, it's no longer news.

Well, in my opinion, if a soundtrack is released on CD, it's because they want to attribute it with autonomous artistic dignity (whether rightfully or just for commercial reasons, that's another story), so why shouldn't it be possible to judge it even without seeing the film?

Honestly, I don't even remember where I heard/read the news, but I remember not having any doubts about the reliability of the source. I could be wrong. But come on, the similarities are muuuch more than just slight; it's fine for the same chord progression, but even the same melody, in certain parts, it's really the same song (apart from the arrangements, of course)... Cheers.

I'm not a big fan of baroque, but in front of such a description, I can't help but be intrigued. Chapeau. Now I'm going to eat the samples.
