TristRam, please :) He can say whatever he wants about music, artists, and even reviews, but it’s the tone that doesn’t hold up; he keeps praising himself, weaving his own accolades, a clear sign of deep insecurity that makes him seem like a failure instead of an established artist as he appears to be. Come on, look at what he wrote to Giambersio in the review of Metheny and then let me know...

And look, that dotsF**kdots is just confused by the fact that he's talking to a good guitarist, otherwise he would be f***ing with you too, and much worse.

Listen, good-looking, someone with a talent like yours who doesn't have a sense of self-irony is, as far as I'm concerned, an asshole. You come here waving your resume and expecting to shit on other people's reviews based on your superiority as a music expert. Just tone it down a bit instead of self-aggrandizing and slobbering all over yourself; respect other people's words, maybe contribute something of your own, and you'll see that you'll have as many reasonable discussions as you want.

I know, I know. And I repeat, he may be one of the best Italian guitarists of all time, and I acknowledge that, but (from the few comments he has made on DeB) this doesn’t stop him from being an idiot.

I carry the name of my idol, also because it’s imaginary ;) (just kidding, I know, I know)

But this jerk is still here pontificating? Basentini, do you realize what kind of attitude you have? ...and anyway "penzo" is not a mistake typical of someone from the south, but simply one of ignorance, just like you are: every post is filled with errors, you might know how to play the guitar, but grammar and syntax are a little more objective, and well, you completely miss the mark. Best regards.

Mr. N, suddenly: fortunately, such a repertoire of nonsense doesn't really exist!

All of this is truly grotesque. A beautiful page of jazz transformed into a childish local squabble by someone who should love jazz, considering he has apparently been practicing it successfully for years. I honestly don’t understand. I am surprised that a good artist like Basentini seems to show such immaturity by shifting the pleasant discussion about Metheny towards an egocentric contest of titles... "he doesn't know who I am, I've done this, I've done that." I quote Prince De Curtis: but please.

Oh no, Aeneas, because if you want you can say "art is 357.898 times e to the power of -10", you can even give it your own meaning, make it sound like an evocative phrase, okay. But then you also have to explain why it’s different from "art is 357.899 times e to the power of -10" and "art is 357.900 times e to the power of -10", etc. I’m being semantic now. Damn, and here I was hoping to be philological today. You’ve thrown my plans off. Adios :)
