I discovered that the Japanese one is Nancy Whang from LCD Soundsystem, the band of James Murphy from DFA who in turn produce Dead Combo, Rapture, NY Excuse and the snake that bites its own tail: this is the excuse that we're making is it good enough for what you pay.

finally josi_! I can’t believe I can scold someone for being late with the reviews :D anyway, totally worth the wait! I confirm Stefan has a great voice, but not bad either the Japanese girlfriend in NY Excuse, another track that I put at the top of my preferences along with slowdance... maybe I prefer them when they’re more danceable; at the extremes of the genres they work well, but when they stay in the middle, definitely less so, and it reminds me of the same doubts expressed about the Dead Combo when they were supporting the Rapture, which is a tired repetition of the Depeche Mode sound from Personal Jesus.
