For me, it’s the most beautiful film because it has infinite keys of interpretation, not to mention the direction, the chosen music, the cinematography, etc., etc.

Definitely my all-time favorite movie. As for its meaning, I don't know if I could ever find a definitive one. For now, I believe the monolith represents some sort of divinity, the divine, for which humans fight and undertake long "journeys" to seek it out. Moreover, with the monolith, the film retraces all of life, all of history. Well, maybe that's a load of nonsense, but for now, it's the interpretation I like the most.
