Let it be, at the end of the day, indeed, let it be...

Already worn out by Lennon's Japanese absences, the financial troubles of Apple, the venom spat in abundance that made them incapable of bearing each other, the Beatles left on a strange vinyl circle their farewell already abundantly announced a few months earlier on the pedestrian stripes of "Abbey Road".

Strange because it's difficult to piece together recording scraps left anonymously to rot on mixers, it's hard to imagine that the greatest band in history threw in the towel due to each member's patience limits being exceeded.

Strange because it's hard to think that despite everything, the Beatles dissolved into a cold English cloud, thanking listeners for affection and participation with the police on their heels and a rooftop to evacuate for disturbing the public peace.

But how can you drive away the Beatles, how can you forget them with an album released after their breakup, while the directly involved had already embarked on solo careers, years and years of successes, experiments, innovations, covers, masterpieces, mop-tops, boots, hysterical screams, cries, ads, hallucinogens, colorful flowers, venomous impromptu raids from the Land of the Rising Sun...

After listening to "Let it be" and little else, conscience tells me, even if I never wanted to accept it: "Let it be". Thank God that after forty years and more, I can say that it was better this way (and it shows). Beatles Immortal!
