I give you 4 stars for an inconsistency... the album deserves some respect and you give it 5 stars??... we shouldn't get too carried away! ... I will listen to the album because I haven't yet, but I have listened to all the others and I must say that aside from a few truly "party" tracks (they're a bit happier than their colleagues!), they have never really caught my attention. Maximum respect for the good musicians... but these two have very little in the way of musicianship.

Vinsex, I approve of your ideas so much that in the conclusion I wrote "doesn't invent anything new" and the reviewer rightly decided to highlight the phrase in bold. The compositional and melodic patterns are rehashes (even if often with a personal style) of already-heard prog... the fact is that the execution, the recording, the mixing, are so excellent and the sound that emerges is so "perfect" that it leaves one shocked... surely it's one of those albums that gets set aside after at most ten listens... but as I already said, it is truly a remarkable work and does not claim to revolutionize anything...

Just a "High School" record... the Verdena don't actually show much stylistic maturity in this work, but it remains the prelude to a nearly dazzling career that has taken them from the chicken coop of their home (formerly a rehearsal room) to a major tour around Europe.

"NOVA" is one of the most beautiful pieces ever written by an Italian "underground" band. The atmospheres intricately crafted in this album make it one of the finest by Verdena, a band that has never asked anything from its fans, a band that has never sinned from presumption.
In contrast to "Il Suicidio dei Samurai," this album feels very genuine, less "composed," more "real."
Honestly, Verdena is one of the most charismatic bands in the Italian scene, and their musical talent as well as their solid preparation as musicians should not be underestimated... they are one of the bands that least disappoint live!
